After returning from the hospital, Layla immediately went into the room that Christabell had prepared for her. Both Christabell and Layla in the end were equally devastated by the diagnosis given by the doctor. Even a second opinion was taken on the same day, they went to another hospital to get a differential diagnosis from another specialist and the results were the same. It felt like Christabell's world collapsed at once when she heard the second diagnosis from a different doctor but the result was the same. No therapy, no treatment, that's what makes the diagnosis sound so bad.
Christabell gave her mother time to rest after a long and unpleasant day that Layla had been through. For the sufferer, of course, it is much more difficult to receive a diagnosis from a doctor than for people who just witnessed it. And Christabell understood that Layla, her mother, needed time to come to terms with all of that.
