Chapter 7 - 7. Stay Down

Kai's POV

I smirked, fixing my ponytail. This little girl was good at hiding what she feels on the outside, but I could see the nervousness in her eyes.

The bell rang and we circled each other. I could see she had no intention of coming at me first.

"Are you going to stare holes into me or are we going to start?" I looked up to her, meeting her eyes.

She waved her hand, motioning at me to come over. I took a few steps forward.

Before she could even react I bolted to her; panic reached her eyes but her face still stayed expressionless. She was trying to predict what I was going to do but I ran towards her head on; not revealing my move till the last minute.

I raised my right fist pretending to throw a right hook before spinning off to the side. Her footing was weak as she tried to block the punch she thought I was going to follow through as I elbowed her in the back with my left.

She fell forward, before ducking into a roll. It was the first time I had seen her react this way, her eyebrows were knitted together.

Angry maybe?

Good...she was finally getting serious.

Her eyes sparkled as her fist blew towards me; the punch barley skimmed my chin as I sidestepped and suddenly her movements got quicker.

Every punch she threw I predicted and dodged perfectly.

"Too slow, little girl," I slammed my fist fully into her stomach as she hurled backwards, choking on air.

Not giving her a recovery time I threw a punch straight into her right cheek, her face whipping to the side.

She lays on her side clutching her stomach, spitting out blood.

"You don't belong here, so stay down and know your place!" The crowd rejoiced, and I started to walk away.

"No!!"

I looked in the corner of my eye to see her slowly get up, still clutching her stomach. She used her other hand to wipe the blood from her mouth as she settled into a fighting stance.

"You really don't know when to give up!!"

I pivoted towards her lunging at her crumbled state but this time she dodged my punch, and threw her own, landing on my lower back.

I gasped faltering forward before catching myself. As I whirled around her foot connected with my face, a roundhouse kick.

"Fuck," I seethed.

I grabbed her by my neck, holding her tightly, punching her endlessly in the stomach again.

She choked on the air some more, trying to get out of my grip. She pushed her elbow back into my rib and my grip loosened by accident, and she managed to wiggle free.

"You... little..." I took lurching steps towards her with every word. On the third word I swung, "Bitch."

She lifted her hands up in defense. My blow pushing past her hands and into her nose.

"Come on, little girl!! You're hiding! I know you have more in you!!"

Out of anger she threw another punch towards me, and I dodged it perfectly. My speed and strength only grew as I dodged every punch.

I dodged one more time before my fist connected with her ribs making her falter backwards.

I could tell the pain was affecting her now. Her eyes flutter closed and her body trembled; her breathing labored.

I was bored now, but I could tell she wasn't. Her eyes still burned with something I couldn't quite describe, something that chilled my bones, and hardly anything scared me. But this girl...she was crazy.

I lunged at her one more time, kicking her to the ground, and before she could block or get up I slammed my foot against her head right as she started to sit up, knocking her out.

The crowds cheered once more before Angello ran into the ring and towards Camryn's unconscious body. He yells for everyone to get back to work; we make eye contact and there is something different in his eyes today...interesting.

He calls for the doctor and holds the girls unconscious body in his arms moving her hair away from her bleeding face; interesting indeed.
