I slowly opened my eyes, the afternoon sun was bathing me in its glory. It felt nice to feel some real heat for once.
A gentle breeze blew by, accompanied by some dust particles that most likely clung to the strands of my hair.
Everything around me was in ruins. Nothing was evidently clear where was where and which was which. The real world has fallen in a blink of an eye, leaving dust in its wake which was quite literally.
My empty surrounding was a clear proof of that. What used to be a land filled with people, tall buildings, cars, animals, plants and trees, mountains and seas, was nothing but a vast desert now. It seemed to stretch far and beyond what my eyes could see.
