I have no idea where it was coming from, but looking at Rafael and Ronald's expectant faces, I was tempted to toy with them. I was tempted to play some guessing game to mask my contemplation of whether to answer the query with a definite yes or no.
However, I knew how serious the situation was. I didn't want to come across as someone insensitive or anything like it. Besides, Ronald seemed to be the guy who wasn't up for that sort of game. Unlike Rafael, Ronald seemed to be the more serious one.
Furthermore, toying with them would make me become like Shay Zephanie. Well, she and I did share some DNA. I think it was what was causing me to feel this way. But, obviously, I'd rather stick to my own personality than merely copy hers.
