I let the cold water run above my head which had instantly soaked my hair and shirt. I tilted my head, angling it to face the flowing water from the shower, savoring it as if I was standing under the rain, closing my eyes.
After the events from last night, I didn't know how or what to feel anymore. Rafael and I went back to the apartel, neither of us saying anything. I woke up to an empty apartel which was not surprising as his and my schedule were not the same. However, today felt different, the emptiness seemed to stretch up to my very being.
Slowly lowering my head, I let myself fall on my knees, hugging them closely against my chest.
This shouldn't have surprised me. I had expected Rafael's reaction already. It would have been more surprising if he had reacted differently.
We barely got to the major secrets and yet, this already felt like the end. The blissful and oblivious road came to an end in an instant.
