SHAY
"Your mommy will be waiting happily for your return Shay, I promise."
Twenty years ago, Marcus Zephanie promised to make her better and return her to her mother, whom he said would be happily waiting.
However, he broke both of those promises.
First, he had her mother killed.
That really fractured her, almost tore her apart.
But she refused to show any sign of weakness.
Especially not to Marcus Zephanie.
That was a vital lesson which she had learned while staying in his custody.
And now, he has failed to find the cure.
In all honesty, Shay Zephanie can't help but feel disappointed. She had always hoped to be cured.
She had, admittedly, been dreaming of the day that she could finally say, "I survived. I was at death's door, but now I wasn't. I'm alive. I'm alive and not dying."
She might not like Marcus and going against the man who somewhat extended her life seemed inappropriate.
