I stared at Rafael, weighing how I should respond to his query.
Do I tell him or do I let him suffer a little more?
I am dying of curiosity as to what memory came back to him. He seemed to have only made the connection of me using the name Shay Zephanie seeing the bewilderment evident in his eyes.
A tiny part of me felt sorry for him but the bigger part of me knew that if I spoon-fed him with the answers he was seeking, he would end up relying on me each and every time. However, when I think about it, it would actually be beneficial. Besides, I was meaning to see him anyway.
"I want to make a deal, Rafael," I said finally realizing how I could actually use this situation to my advantage. I would probably feel guilty about this later on. But, if I wanted to help Shay, I need to grab this opportunity as another one might not come by ever again.
Rafael held my gaze. He was probably weighing a few things in his mind too.
