AVA
I watch X smile towards me, that smile that doesn't reach the eyes. I have seen too many people bearing the same sad smile from time to time. And right now, X was one of those people.
He had turned off the camera and told me that I was free to get out of the chair now.
I did, coming towards him right after. In no time, he was able to pack up the camera and everything that came with it and held out a hand towards me upon securing them in a big duffel bag. He swung it over his shoulder like it didn't weigh anything.
"Let's get you home now, Ava. Your parents might be looking for you."
Without hesitation, I accepted his hand and another hollowed grin spread across his lips. Half skipping, hand in hand, X and I walked out of the empty studio and back to the car that he had brought. The whole ride was drowned in silence. But I did not mind.
