I squinted my eyes at the night sky. Somewhere inside me, I could sense that there was something bound to happen anytime soon.
A flash of white passed by all of a sudden making Hero gasp beside me as we sat by the tree a few distances away from the orphanage. Everyone else was deeply sleeping. However, I was feeling uneasy and had a nightmare. Hero immediately knew what to do when I had woken up and run outside of the shared room that we were in.
I looked at him and saw that he was deeply mesmerized.
"A shooting star!" He exclaimed, smiling brightly as he caught my gaze. The excitement in his eyes was pretty evident. His eyes were almost twinkling which was clearly visible against the dim darkness that clothed us.
