We heard from our hostel,this wasn't a general objective, most of us had never been in real battle especially those of us who hid in our hostel, i was shocked when the strongest of us, who performed the best in training hid alongside us, I was scared, my eyes where flooded with tears, I could barely see, My nose ran cold, sweat all over my face, i said to my self in silence "oh shit Timi your gonna die, just like that".
My lamenting was interrupted by more loud noises, the whole base was under complete attack, from the room we could hear loud screams of dying men and women, As everyone mumbled in confusion, my friends, Damien and Morty who where in a similar position as me, where able to pull themselves together and calmed me down and device some what of a plan. They probably realized that all of our commanders where dead,No one was coming to mobilize us, "we were on our own". Damien said. Morty held me
"Timi, Timi!,look at me, we've got to get out of here, we know a way out of the hostel, and into the main Citadel ,look at me! Timi from there we should be able to fly a ship out of here Stop crying". I wiped my eyes as he held my shoulder "OK sure, but how *sniff* are we gonna leave without anyone noticing"
My nose was dripping, I had cried more than a ever but i got up and grabbed my laser, Morty and Damien did the same. Without answering my question, Through the chaos we snuck into a secret hatch in the hostel created by Morty, "who knew his laziness and skills in slacking could pay off?" Damien said.
Morty created the hatch so he could hide from practice, it was an underground tunnel, I had never used or seen it before so i was surprised by its size , Damien was unshaken by it, fortunately no one noticed probably because everyone was busy with their own agendas.
We walked down the tunnel, which was pitch black , Damien flipped a switch, which immediately illuminated the room. It was a long tunnel, i could tell, "are we gonna walk all through?" Morty smiled "no Silly, when we get deeper I'll alert a pet, he'll carry us through" i was shocked by his reply "are crazy, this is no time for... "
BOOM!!!
That sound again, the dragons must have gotten into the hostel. I guessed.
The whole tunnel vibrated, we all fell, Damien got to his feet first "the vibrations are affecting the tunnel" He said, Morty replied "we need to hurry then, this place can collapse any moment now".
I was lost all i could do was sit in silence, suddenly, Morty started whistling, "what are you doing " i said, he replied "calling it" "calling what". Suddenly i heard loud footsteps coming towards us, suddenly a huge looking creature with a hitch on its back was upon us, i tried to run, but they stopped me "it's okey he won't, kill you" Damien said.
They hopped on it, Morty looked at me, and said "trust me and hop on" i hesitated but eventually i did not because i trusted him but because i had no choice, what else could i do?
Through the ride, we heard screams and more sounds of dragon blasts, this frightened us so much because non of us had ever really seen a dragon before talk less about slaying one, we had only bragged about Slaying one in future. I started to get worried, the ride seemed like forever, we had been going for hours and There was no sight of The citadel. I turned on Morty and Damien "This is taking forever, where is it"
Morty especially was tired of my whining and gave me a cold reply, "well then Timi, you can always go back, i told you to trust me, yet your asking stupid questions" Damien calmed him down, i was shocked and speechless, i said nothing in reply because i was at their mercy, even friends can turn on you, so i kept shut.
Minutes later we arrived at the citadel, all was in ruin, it was empty as expected but all was destroyed, a beautiful chamber for royalty bathed in gold was reduced to ashes, we stepped down from the beast and to our dismay, there where no ships, those filthy cowards had stolen our idea, high ranking knights had already made an escape. We lost hope, i could see the terror and confusion in Damien and Morty's faces. Loosing grip from the creature it fled, Morty tried calling it back but it refused and went on, our only ride was gone. Suddenly from a dark corner.
