I can't believe there has ever been anything between Ash and me. Never in a million years would I ever thought I would catch the interest of someone as popular as Ash, but there is still the possibility that his feelings for me grew when the whole apocalyptic event happened. It opened our eyes to the possibility that we might not be alive come tomorrow.
I turn around to face Ash, his hands still on my waist. "Mr. Sanders, are you flirting with me?" I teased him.
"Why, yes, miss. I believe so." The telltale of a flirty smile appears on his face before he bends down to kiss me on the lips.
It is a light kiss, a peck really, but it makes my whole body tingle. We both pull away—the possibility of deepening the kiss still there but neither of us took the chance to actually do it.
