"What happened?" I ask as the whole room freezes. Hunter's reaction was not one that any of us expected, especially since we know he hasn't been feeling well. I didn't think he had the energy to lift a hand, let alone sit up so suddenly.
"The cut, the cut…" Hunter is mumbling something under his breath as he fumbles to get the blanket that I put over him last night off. I can tell he's still having a hard time moving his hands and other parts of his body. His muscles are jerky and unpredictable. And a slight shiver would wrack his body for a few seconds before stopping completely for another few seconds, then the shivers would come back again.
"What? What?" I ask Hunter, helping him get out of the tangle of the blanket. "What is it?"
"I need to get the poison out," Hunter whispers quickly. "Where's my bag?"
"What poison?" Ash asks, coming closer to Hunter while putting me behind him at the same time.
