Chapter 56 - You're a Strong Woman

A meeting was called by the ex chairman, Yangmi as he hasn't fully given the authority to his son, Soo on some matters. The board of Directors, General managers, operational manager etc are being present inside the meeting room at their respective places. Secretary Hyun came inside and told them that the Chairman is coming in a while. After five minutes Yangmi entered the room followed by one other Secretary. Seeing him all the people present there got up from their seats and greeted him.

The projector is also turned on as the Chairman has to virtually interact with all the supervisors of the Sangma. He gestured to all of them to sit and took his seat too.

"You all must be thinking that why have I called for a meeting in urgency? Well, I'm transferring my entire role to Chairman Soo and before I'll do that there will be some change in roles. As we have previously had a meeting and we all decided that efficient young people with good work experience will be given opportunity in our company.

The board of Directors have agreed with me on this already. Today I'll just mention the rise in post and transfers which are decided on the basis of work performance," stated Yangmi. He then gestured to his secretary to tell about the further things. Changes were done mainly in the managerial posts. The meeting was gone for 3 hours and after signing the important documents Yangmi walked out from there. He told his secretary to call Kim Jun to his office.

"Mr Jun, the Chairman has asked for you. Please come with me," muttered Secretary Hyun. Jun nodded and followed him.

Jun pushed the glass door lightly and then walked inside Yangmi's office. Seeing Jun, Yangmi gestured to him to take a seat. Jun thanked him and sat on the sofa chair next to him. He asked Jun if he wanted tea but Jun refused.

"Kim Jun, how's the project going on? How much it will need to execute?," asked Yangmi and sipped the tea from the cup.

"Sir, we are in phase 3 of the project. Almost two weeks are going to pass. I've kept the deadline till this month. Most probable I'll officially launch it by next week," stated Jun with a smile.

"Jun, you've given really wonderful results during your internship in the Sangma, in Beijing. The profits skyrocketed when you were made the project head. That time you told me not to reveal your name for the project and I've to give the title of the victory to your boss at that time. But this time it will be different. I can't lose such an amazing talent and I believe that Sangma needs you the most. The director of Sangma wants to retire from his post and I believe you are the best for that post. I suggested your name and everyone agreed with me. After the project I want you to be the director of Seoul Sangma branch," stated Yangmi with a smile.

"It will be my pleasure sir to hold this position. I'm really grateful to all my seniors who help me do the best for this company." Jun happily answered Yangmi.

Yangmi smiled hearing this and said, "Okay then. Work on your project. You can contact me or tell my son if there is any difficulty you encounter."

Jun thanked Yangmi and after talking for a while he left Yangmi's office. He walked inside the elevator when Tae came there and got inside the elevator.

"What were you doing here?," asked Jun looking at Tae.

"Ahh, GM has called me," replied Tae. "Are you going home? Because today is Saturday," said Tae with a smile.

"I'll be late today. I've work to do in the office," muttered Jun. The elevator flung open and Jun came out of it. "See you at home," muttered Jun with a smile. Tae nodded and the elevator got closed.

Jun was walking towards his office when he found Min waiting for him outside his office. He walked towards her. Hearing the ticking sound of shoes she turned her head and smiled seeing Jun. Getting up immediately from her seat she hugged Jun tightly. Jun didn't feel good with her act so he released her hands from him and told her to come inside.

Jun sat on the sofa and gestured to her to do so. "Do you want something to drink?," asked Jun. Min refused saying she had just taken a coffee.

"Why are you here?," asked Jun straightforwardly without going around the bush. Min looked at him and answered, "Jun, we can't break up like this. I mean you were kissing.."

Jun cut Min and said, "it's my fault I know but you listened to Myung. You could've asked me before pointing towards her character. I mean you don't trust me??," mumbled Jun. He calmed himself and said, "Min, I never wanted to date you. You weren't ready to give up so I gave a thought to it. We agreed that if we will break up in the future then we won't bother each other. I'm sorry that we broke up this way."

"Jun, I know I made a mistake but you aren't looking from my view point," Min tried to make him understand.

"Min, let's stop this. I have work to do and I'm really busy this week." He got up from the couch and went to his desk. "You should go home," murmured Jun. Min didn't say anything further and left from there.

Ani was working on the desktop when Soon Ji came over her desk. Seeing him Ani immediately got up and greeted him. "Meeting is over. There's not much work to do. So, you should go home," muttered Soon Ji.

"Sir, there are some files on which your signs are needed." Ani grabbed the three files from her desk.

"Oh, please come inside my office." Saying this, Soon Ji walked inside his office. Pushing the door lightly, Ani went inside and handed files to Soon Ji. "These about the projects?," asked Soon Ji.

"Yes sir, your approval is mandatory," replied Ani with a smile.

"I believe you've read the files thoroughly," murmured Soon Ji and put his signatures on them. Ani nodded and then thanked him. She was leaving his office when Soon Ji asked, " Ms Cha, do you want to have lunch with me?"

Ani looked at him in confusion. "Don't take the other meaning of this. I usually eat my lunch alone so I thought if you could join me." Soon Ji smiled and then clasped his fingers.

"Why not Sir? Should I order lunch?," asked Ani with a smile.

Hearing this, Soon Ji became happy. "Let's go to the restaurant. Our works are almost done so let's go out to eat," mumbled Soon Ji. Ani nodded and told him that she would meet him in the parking lot and left from there. Soon Ji picked his car keys; mobile and walked out of the office.

In the parking lot Ani was waiting for him. He stopped the car before her and opened the door for him. Yun who was coming in that direction with his colleagues saw them. He quickly called Ani but she didn't take his call.

"Thanks Ani for joining me for lunch," perplexed Soon Ji said.

"You must have felt lonely after your father died. I can understand that," murmured Ani and smiled lightly.

"Hmm. I had my father only that too died in the accident. Thanks for understanding me," mumbled Soon Ji and smiled. After fifteen minutes they reached the Sangma restaurant. He took out the chair for Ani and told her to sit and then rested himself on the other chair. Ani thanked him.

"What would you like to eat?," asked Soon Ji, holding the menu.

"Anything of your choice, Sir," replied Ani. Soon Ji nodded and ordered meals for them.

"Do you have friends sir?," asked Ani curiously.

"Ahh I have no close friends and please don't call me sir outside the workplace. You can call me Soon Ji," said Soon Ji with a smile and sipped the water from the glass.

"I searched for you the day our fathers died. My father told me that you're a kid so I'd to take care of you when he was on the verge of dying." He was running his hands and his eyes got watery. Ani understood what he must have been feeling.

"Sir, thank you for thinking about me. I wish I could be there for you. It's really hard but then everyone can't understand this. I know that feeling," murmured Ani and got teary eyes seeing Soon Ji. Soon Ji looked at her and controlled his tears he said, "you're grown up to a strong woman. Your father must be happy seeing you like this."

Ani smiled and nodded. Their meals were served and they started eating.

"Choco shake?," said Ani with a surprising look.

"You don't drink wine so I told them to add a choco shake to the menu. You're the daughter of the founder so your choice also matters," said Soon Ji with a smile. Ani smiled and thanked him.
