Chapter 12 - Chapter 44: School Trip - Part 3/ Boy's Night

While the girls were having their 'girl's night', the boys also were having their friendly fun time.

After getting out of shower, Wood was rubbing his wet hair with a towel, plopping down on his bed while Yamaken was reading a book, Robin was typing on his phone and Tom was lying on his bed with his eyes closed.

Suddenly, Tom got up and asked out of the blue, "Does anyone have any snacks with you?"

In reply, Robin grabbed his backpack and took out a packet of chips, throwing it over at Tom who catched it swiftly.

"Thanks, Robin," Tom grinned.

"Don't mention it," The other waved his hand, focusing on his phone again.

"Let's talk about something," Tom suggested.

As Wood finished drying his hair, he threw the towel away and lied down on his back, "About what?"

"Anything," Tom shrugged, munching on the chips.

He then looked over at Robin and said sternly, "Put away your phone, Robin. You're here to enjoy the trip with your friends. Are you texting another girlfriend of yours?"

"How did you know?" Robin asked as he looked up from his phone.

Tom didn't reply, instead he shook his head in disappointment.

Wood sat up on his bed, "Why did you become like this, Robin? You were fine even some months ago. Don't you feel bad about it?"

Robin shrugged, "Bad? Why would I?"

Wood sighed, "Not only looks are important, personalities are as well. Do you think what you're doing right now - playing with your life, won't make your regret your doings in the future?"

"Dude, chill," Robin laughed, "I'm just trying to find the right girl for me by dating everyone. In the end, I'll pick one. I'm almost there from graduating high school, I gotta grow up, you know?"

"Girls aren't your tools, Robin. And doing such things doesn't count as growing up."

All three head turned towards Yamaken who just spoke.

He took off his reading glasses and put down the book on the table before saying, "Besides, you already have someone you like. You're just doing this to keep your mind off of her. Dating other girls won't come to any good so just confess to her and date her instead. That's way better than playing around with girls' feelings."

Tom's eyes were wide in surprise, "Robin likes someone? Who is it?" He demanded of the brown haired boy who now had an uneasy look on his face.

Robin hesitated, "Um.."

"We're all friends here, it's okay if you share with us," Wood assure him.

"D-Dylanthy," Robin stuttered.

"Oh, wow, brother," Tom said sarcastically, "You are gonna give her such an amazing impression of you that she'll come running to you to be your girlfriend."

"Hey!" Robin tried to defend himself.

"You know what, I'd say you better listen to Yamaken. His idea is totally way better," Wood agreed.

"But," Robin tried to oppose.

"But me no buts," Wood cut in, "Break up with all of your so called girlfriends and then purify yourself from all those sins," He instructed with a scrunched up nose as if Robin smelt, "Then go confess to Dylanthy and save us all from your drama, please!"

Robin was taken aback by Wood's words but he slowly replied nevertheless, "Okay."

"Speaking of liking someone, does any of you have someone you like?" Tom asked curiously.

"What about you?" Yamaken asked back.

Tom gave a sheepish smile, "I like Melissa," He winked, "And our feelings are mutual, it has been for years. But we never reallly thought of going out together."

Yamaken hummed as he nodded.

Tom then turned at Wood, "You like Willia, don't you?" He asked playfully in which Robin joined him.

"Yeah, you like her, don't you?" He said as he smirked, "I've always thought that you did, though."

Wood was going to say something in return but he was stopped by Yamaken who had blurted out, "Do you know that Kaori is now the headmaster of our clan?"

"No?" All of the boys exclaimed, "Really?"

"Yeah, she was made the headmaster on this weekend. It was a huge incident," Yamaken laughed as he remembered everything.

"Share with us!" Robin said at once.

And so, Yamaken told the other three boys what had happened on the weekends. Their reaction was worth seeing, it was a reaction between both awe and happiness.

When they were commenting different things on the matter, Yamaken seemed to have been lost in thoughts and he was also smiling like a fool.

As Robin had glanced at him, he caught the moment in his eyes and smirked, "You must be very proud of her, huh, Yamaken?"

"Yeah, I am," He sighed in content, "She has come so far."

"Do you like her?" Robin boomed his question out of nowhere towards Yamaken who was left dumbfounded.

After almost a full minute, he replied, "It's nothing like that," He laughed awkwardly.

"Is it forbidden?" Tom asked, tilting his head a little to the sidewards.

Yamaken shook his head, "Nope."

"Anyway, then I guess we'll let you go," Robin turned back to Wood who was looking over at Yamaken, "Tell us, you like Willia, don't you?"

Wood now frowned, "𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?" he thought before beginning to say, "I-"

"I like Kaori."

Everyone in the room was taken aback by the sudden confession made by Yamaken.

Wood looked over at Yamaken with surprised eyes.

"Didn't you say-" Ribin began but got cut off in the middle by Yamaken.

"I was thinking of avoiding the question but.. I decided to let you guys know because I think it's okay to do so," Yamaken smiled charmingly.

He then looked over at Wood and apologized, "Sorry for disturbing you in the midway, please continue."

"I'm tired," Wood said faintly, "I want to sleep. Good night," He grabbed his pillow as he completed his sentence and lied down on the bed properly, facing away from his friends.

"What's with him?" Tom asked blankly.

Robin shrugged before checking the watch, "Oh, it's late! Let's sleep now, we have to get up early tomorrow morning."

"Okay," Tom quickly got off his bed and ran over to the light switch.

While the boys were running about in the room and preparing to sleep, Yamaken was quietly watching Wood's back.

The was light turned off.

Yamaken was still awake, staring at the ceiling above him with his hands under his head while he lied on his back straight.

The soft and charming moonlight was coming into the room through the glass sliding door that lead to the balcony outside.

As Yamaken sat up straight on his bed, he thought - "𝘐'𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘺"

He slowly got up, careful not to make any noise.

He grabbed his oversized black hoody from the chair, also picking up his moneybag from the table. He tiptoed towards the door and quietly pulled it open. Then, he left the room, leaving the other three boys in deep sleep.

As Yamaken reached the vending machine for drinks which was in the snacks room, he quickly took out his moneybag from his pocket.

He shivered from the thought and quickly inserted two coins through the hole of the vending machine.

The machine did a mild buzz sound which meant that the coins he inserted had been accepted and that he could now choose a drink that's worth of the money.

As he was going to choose a drink, he felt someone's presence behind him and he immediately turned around only to see a surprised Kaori standing there.

"What are you doing here?" Yamaken asked, dumbfounded, he really didn't expect her.

"I could ask you the same question," Kaori frowned.

Yamaken scratched his hair, "I was thirsty. You?"

"Same. Now move," Kaori pushed Yamaken lightly.

"Hey!" Yamaken whispered, "There are teachers on patrol. Speak quietly! If I get caught-"

"I'm using my power," Kaori said, not bothered by Yamaken.

Yamaken sighed, "Unbelievable."

"You're unbelievable. Why are you out in the middle of the night to buy a drink without any backup when there are teachers in patrol? What if you get caught and receive a detention? Huh? Huh? Huh?" Kaori demanded of Yamaken who was just staring at her.

He asked her, "I don't understand you. Are you worried about me or are you just mocking me, saying that I'm an idiot?"

"Whatever. Here," She handed him a soda can while she was holding a water bottle, "You were going to buy this, right?"

"Yeah," He took the soda can from her, "Are you upset about something?"

Kaori was drinking water when Yamaken asked her the question, so she replied with a question after taking some sip, "Why do you ask?"

"You sound pissed off than usual," He pointed out.

Kaori let out a sigh, "It's nothing. Let's go. I'll walk you to your room, or else you'll get caught."

Yamaken looked at her in surprise, "You're using the power on both of us?"

"What do you think?" Kaori remarked before saying, "Let's go," She grabbed his hand and pulled him with her.

As the two reached the door to Yamaken's room, Kaori let go of his hand.

She was going to leave after bidding him goodbye but he stopped her by asking a question.

"Do you have someone you like?"

Kaori stopped in her tracks and looked back at him.

The two stared at each other for a whole moment before Kaori said, "Even if I do, it has nothing to do with you."

"Rude," Yamaken complained.

"Whatever," Kaori shrugged before turning to leave again but this time, Yamaken grabbed her wrist tightly.

"Wait," Yamaken said before stating, "I was meaning to ask this for a while but.. Why don't you call me to serve you anymore?"

Kaori stopped.

She let out a sigh before turning back to him, "Because I'm not sure if I should."

"What do you mean? Are you talking about the time I left you?"

"No, I'm over that. It's just that, you left without informing me and you also told me back then to never call you again," Kaori mumbled.

"Kaori," Yamaken said in a desperate yet sad tone, "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry about everything I said and did back then. After Haru's death, I just wasn't in the right mind and I uttered nonsense and ran away to get a breather. I really didn't mean it, any of them. I'm truly sorry. Please forget those times and forgive me."

Kaori looked up at Yamaken with expectations, "Really?"

"Yes, call me whenever you want me to serve you," Yamaken assured her.

Kaori beamed, "That means our problem is solved, right? We're okay again, right? We can be like we used to be again."

"Yeah," Yamaken also smiled.

But his smile faltered as it was replaced with a frown when Kaori said happily, "Good, I can now be both your master and one of your friends!"

As Kaori completed her sentence, she suddenly realized how late at night it was and that they would have to get up early in the morning to go out touring.

"Yamaken, let's talk again another time, okay?" She then said briskly, "It's late and I have to go have some sleep or else I'll be tired all day long tomorrow. See you later!"

As she bid him goodbye, she skipped away towards her room while Yamaken watched her leaving from behind.

He let out a deep breath before he quietly opened the door to his room that he was sharing with his friends and entered it, leaving the hallway deserted.
