We walk down the lake beside the park. She rests her head on my shoulder and I hold her hand. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure", I say.
"What was it like?" She takes a pause to process the question. "I mean, your childhood. What was your childhood like?"
"You want me to be honest or will you do your mind reading thing."
"I already promised you not to read your mind anymore", she frowns. "Can't break promises of course."
"Ah you sure did", I laugh.
She rolls her eyes.
