As he lay on the ground covered in blood, the lich smiled while sitting on top of the undead dragon.
"You don't look so strong to me." she said.
"R-Run Elizabeth. Take her and run!" Kellogg said while coughing blood.
A woman who was holding a sleeping baby, looked at him. She couldn't bear to see him in so much pain. She wanted to stay and help him but it would endanger the baby. Tears ran down her face as she turned back to escape.
"Amusing! I never thought I'll see something like this again." the lich chuckled as she saw the scene unfold.
"Sadly I don't want any enemies. Aria stop them."
Suddenly another dragon landed from the sky and blocked their way. It roared loudly, a disgusting mucus from its mouth splattered all around them.
The lich now descended from the dragon. Her grey mantle fluttered to reveal her mummified body, her face with blue eyes and her long white hair showed hints of her beauty when she was alive. She took out a black dagger studded with glowing gems and advanced towards the woman.
"No! Back off! Don't come closer!" her cries were useless, no one could hear her, much less save her.
"You should be thankful that I didn't use him to end you." she pointed to Kellogg lying down.
"You can join him later." she looked back at her and gripped the dagger with both hands.
"Ahhhh."
Kellogg who was lying on the ground moments before, now stood up and stretched his body.
"The pleasure one gets from stretching their back is truly indescribable."
The lich surprised to see him get up turned and said "Not dead yet?"
Kellogg turned around to face them. His eyes were completely black and there was a sinister smile on his face. He now proceeded to put his hand into his mouth and pull out a blood stained sword. It was a longsword but looked light enough for one hand wielding. Its guard was half broken and grip had cracks.
He wiped off the blood on his mouth with his other hand and started to lick the blade.
"Mmm. Tasty."
Elizabeth was horrified to see him behave in such a way. He never spoke or acted like that. It was like his body was being possessed.
"I don't know who got in this body, but you're lucky. You get to serve me after you die." the lich smirked. "Eudin, kill him without making a mess."
The dragon she sat upon lifted its front leg to crush him.
"An undead?" In a flash Kellogg now floated near the head of the undead dragon. The dragon was startled to see him.
He fingered his ear with one hand while holding extending the sword towards its head and said "You are already dead."
A sudden flash of lighting came from the sky and struck his sword. The dragon who was in front of him was cleanly split into two parts.
He smiled and turned back to face the lich who was dumbstruck with terror. Now two large black wings extended from his back. The feathers on them were not purely black. It was a bit greyish in colour. There were a few red patches here and there, which looked more like blood stains.
"No." he said with an evil grin.
"No one's in here." his finger poked his forehead. "Except for me."
