Chapter 4 - Riding High

As the wind whooshed past me it picking up my hair making it go everywhere.

"Hang on tight alright", Taylor says picking up speed. Once we had driven around the close by streets we headed back to the ally way.

"So what did you think", says Usher, the other biker. "That was so much fun", I said enthusiastically.

"Come on Charlotte, better not worry your dad", says Dylan grabbing my hand. "Thank you", I shout at Taylor and Usher.

As Dylan hands me a helmet, I put it on. "Aren't you going to put on a helmet", I ask. "It's fine, just take mine", he says. I hesitate, but Dylan's a stubborn guy so I just put it on.

After a few minutes of driving we pull into the driveway of a small diner, called Roxxane's Diner.

"Why are we here", I ask, "I thought you were going to take me home". "Well yeah, but I'm hungry", Dylan says taking off my helmet.

"Okay bye, I better head home", I say walking towards a nearby bus sign. "I thought maybe you could join me", Dylan says catching up to me.

"Nah, I'm good I'm not hungry", I say stopping to look at him. He sighs and says, "Miss Charlotte, will you please accompany me to eat".

"Sure", I say laughing. The moment we entered the diner the delicious aroma of burgers hit my nose.

I just couldn't resist myself, so when Dylan ordered his food so did I.

"Hi, what can I get you today", said the waiter, who looked to be 17, mainly at Dylan. "Hey, can I get a double bacon cheeseburger", He said not once looking at the poor girl, who by now had already unbuttoned two of her shirts buttons.

"And you ma'am", she said to me, with a little bit of arrogance. " I will get the same thing", I say.

"Thought you said you weren't hungry", Dylan says snickering. "Well now I am", I say.

Once our food had arrived my stomach was growling. "Let's dig in", says Dylan already already taking a huge bite out of his burger.

During our whole meal, not once did the girls working here, take their eyes off Dylan. "They really like to stare", says Dylan, following my gaze to the girls.

"Yeah", I simply reply. "If you let me, I could do something, to make them stop looking", he says.

"What do you have in mind", I ask, already frustrated by their stares. "A girl would never hit on a taken man", he says smirking.
