Chapter 5 - I See

"Sarah sweetheart" my father called, yet I couldn't answer. The crazy doctor was holding me down covering my mouth. I tried everything to get away earlier but he had the upper hand. My father was just feet away from him and me. We were still and our breaths were on edge. I didn't want my dad to come any closer than the kitchen. If he does I don't know what this guy will do.

His footsteps stopped right behind us (the couch faced away from the kitchen). Tears ran down slowly but then I heard a sigh.

"Well, guess she's not here" my father moved away going out the door. Both me and the doctor let out our breath. He let go after he finally thought my father went away. I pushed him away from me growling.

"You psycho!" I growled. He shrugged got up and began to look around for a moment. I shot up to my feet "Tell me why the hell you called? Why haven't you killed me? And stop trying to kill me!"

He smiled " You have an anger issue, Sarah" -smiles from ear to ear- "I can fix that"

I growled about to say something when he began "I need you to stay away from that guy" I stared at him dumbfounded. He looks away trying to find something else interesting like a child (I didn't buy it). Flooding my arms I stated "Your not my father or my boyfriend. So you can't make me do anything. Why should I listen to you anyway?"

"I might not be, but I'm trying to save you from the pain you stupid girl! I don't get why I'm asking you when I should be making you understand" he growled.

"Hell, no you won't do a thing long as I--" a buzz came from my hip as I was about to grab it when the psycho swiped it out of my hands. I grabbed it back, quickly looking at the screen seeing it was James. I smiled a little. The doctor growled but I ignored him and headed over to my room. Making sure I closed the door I proceeded to unlocked my screen looking over the text.

-"Hey Sarah what happened to you?" James said. I quickly texted back "I had to make sure my dad was fine at the house and he was"

-"Oh. Um well I was wondering if you like to go out with me. Just you and me" James sent.

I smiled and almost panicked yet I felt ashamed of myself. If I say yes I'd be no better than some of my ex's, but on the bright side I could gain more information. I texted back "Sure. What time and where?"

-"At Bookers pastries on Saturday three at noon"

A loud sigh came from the door when I looked up and there he was, the young doctor had broken in my room and now was leaning up against the door frame. I was shocked yet angry at him.

"He's going to hurt you, Sarah" his voice turned cold. It was like a harsh winter blizzard. I couldn't help but feel cold looking back at him. My eyes widened as his eyes grew colder as a very low growl escaped his lips. He continued "I killed your last boyfriend because he wanted to kill you. If it wasn't for me-"

"If it wasn't for you he'd be alive!" I interrupted the very man who took Bran away. My eyes teared up, my heart beats fast like a drum, but I managed to scowl "I hate you! You ruined his life, my life and you even threatened to kill me, and my family. Your nothing more than a monster! You deserve death yourself."

The doctor shut up his emotions a blank but then he became completely speechless, I on the other didn't realize it until he turned around and walked away.

...

The next few days I was relieved to see the creepy doctor stopped coming to my house. It felt normal. Too normal.

"Sarah" Cathy snapped her fingers in front of me. I blinked looking at two concerned friends. Cathy rolled her eyes "My god you've been spacing out a lot. What's on your mind?"

"Nothing, Cathy" I gave her a smile. She didn't take it as a sign of trust yet I walked over to the door where Nathan stood just to head for our other class we had together.

"Sarah can you please tell me what's going on?" Nathan whined.

"Nothing I swear you guys." I smiled. Both of them looked at each other and got even more worried. Cathy glared at me and I knew we had to talk about it even if I refused.

After the class was over I was messaged. I looked up at it seeing that dad wanted me to go straight home. I agreed and went back to my regular schedule.

I was kind of waiting for the day to end, hoping that Cathy would understand that there are some things I rather not tell her and Nathan. It was for their sake and mine, especially since that loony doctor has been gone this long. I really don't want anyone to get hurt because of me. I don't need someone else to die because I wasn't paying attention.

"Sarah!" Cathy ran down the hall. I turned and saw she had her phone out. Her expression wasn't the cheerful person she was instead it became full of concern, and dread. I looked at her she frowned putting the phone in front of me. It was the news as soon as Cathy pushed play the news reporter began "Breaking news ladies and gentlemen. We just got word just a couple of minutes ago a young officer was killed in his own home. Many suspect that it was a revenge against the victim. Police are not releasing more details about this than his name. He was  known as James Anderson..."

My heart stopped. I dropped to my knees. I wanted to scream, cry out loud, but when I tried nothing came out. My throat was clogged and my eyes just streamed tears. James is dead. Who would be next?

.....

Doctor Smiley P.O.V.

It didn't take long for the police to investigate the murder. Man that was sloppy. It was quite fun to see the lying bastard slowly die in his very home. It felt more like I went down stairs on Christmas morning seeing my own parents place the gifts under the tree

Sighing at myself I headed to a wash room in this dinner.  Good thing their bathroom is on the other side. Entering it I began washing off my tools and hands and quickly dispose the evidence. All I wanted to do was give that stupid woman a clear idea what he wanted to do. She'll thank me later but for now I have to make sure that my partner doesn't run off into the night.

I looked into the mirror and groaned.

"Jeffery Alan Woods" the man in red looked at me chuckling to himself. I only stood there waiting for another response, luckily he didn't say anything.

"I was wondering if you were going back to that slender monster of yours?" I arched my brow a little curious.

Jeff chuckled softly "No I was thinking of killing a few more people that live here." his smile grow larger as he got closer "maybe even your little girlfriend?"

I grabbed his stained shirt growling, looking at his never shutting eyes, stating "Do it and you'll be my next project to play with."

The boy chuckled softly turning it into laughter. A bit confused and angry, "What's so funny?"

"You act crazy yet when we all knew that you were insane, Doc. So much that you would let a simple, mortal woman like her take your mind. How's it feel to be controlled?" he grinned then laughed more. I glared at him. He continued "The famous Doc had been beaten by a simple heartbeat."

"You know nothing about her, Jeffery" I pinned him to the stalls wall. He laughed louder sounding more like his crazed self. I was unfazed to his method. He stopped opened his mouth "I know her every move."

"How co--"

"I'm Jeff the killer dumbass! I kill those I study. I studied that fucker that she was with! I studied her too." He chuckled darkly. I wrapped my hands around his neck tightening. Jeff continued "I'll kill her or one of her members of family even a friend of hers. Just to make you suffer harder. To make her hate you even more."

"That's if I don't kill you first you son of a--"

The ground shook, static void was blazing into my ears, and I felt uneasy. I know this feeling but it couldn't be the guy himself.

"Let Jeffery go" a deep powerful voice demanded. I growled knowing this was the tall man himself. I let go turned to the very man himself putting a smile on my face "Hello lord Slenderman. I hope you're not just for this worthless excuse for a proxy"

"Your right, Bruce" he pulled out a small figure out from behind him. As I looked closer my eyes widened as the small figure was just a mere child no younger than five. She had tears streaming down her face, clothes covered in dry mud she struggled to get away from his grip. I knew too well no one was able to with sanity still intact. Slenderman continued "but I still need him. He is the only thing that is unintelligent to over throw his superior"

"Sir, if you excuse my manners but if I don't control this thing he will do exactly that. He'll have this world, the underworld, and even the plain of death at his grasp. If he really wanted to."

"He's capable to function in that manner if wanted to but desires not to. He is nothing more than bark than bite" Slenderman stated.

The child at his side stopped moving, her face pale, eyes full of defeat looked straight at me. The slender monster chuckled holding the child by the neck she not putting up a fight and was in complete obedience. The thin beast chuckled more leaning over the child. I knew what was going to happen next.

His mouth cracking like bone, opening like a snake ready for its pray. The child saw this and started to cry, kick, even screamed but the first thing that monster bit off were her legs. Bone cracking, popped, and crunched as the little child cried in pain. He continued at eating the child as blood spilled over the floor. Until it was absolutely silent. Slenderman was left with the child's neck and head. As I looked at her all she expressed was utter fear and the remaining tears streamed down her cheeks.

Neither Jeff or I could have helped the child. It was how Slenderman eat for so many years believing that these children were neglected for most of their lives. He understood life and death as he was one, of many God's creation turned from light to darkness. As was many of the proxies he has recruited only due to how they have fallen into a disgraceful depth. I was not one of his proxies. I was turned to this path against my will with the help of 'him'. 'He' was what most people turned to, to make a deal. I made mine with him and in result to that I have gotten more than my share.

Jeff and I were in the same boat. We both were derived out of the light plumbing into the endless darkness of our minds. No hope. No sanity. We were driven to each other as a result of 'his' work. Jeff choose to live with the slender monster while I decided to venture out on my own not really having a say in good or evil.

But now that I have learned more about this world and most of its secrets. I wanted to continue under the eyes of the tall man himself. Rather than that damn hell beast.

"Hey Doc" Jeff's raspy voice brought me back. I looked at him slowly realizing that I have been deep in thought.

"Jeff are you willing to help me out with something else" I smiled and he returned the gesture.

He place a hand on my shoulder chuckling to himself "Name it."

"I need you to kill a few things for me." Jeff chuckled as I slowly explained what exactly I needed. His eyes light up with amusement. Slenderman understood as well he started to gesture to go back to his place but I quickly denied. I didn't want to leave this small town for the work I'm planning on doing. Because I needed to explain something to someone else I just hoped she's not too upset with me.
