Chapter 46 - Not Buying!

Meanwhile at the Lumin's Tribal square...

"You said earlier that If you won I must give you one of my fingers?"

Yagnos bemused after gulping the wooden bowl of wine in one go, also smacking and licking his lips.

A glint of insult is painted in that gesture which made Oryo red in anger.

Oryo chugged his own wooden bowl filled to the brim and the colorless wine entered his mouth.

The alcohol kicked in and his field of view started to spin.

Now he just has to endure until the spinning would gradually subside.

Casting a glance to Yagnos, Oryo's lips curled up.

And a flurry of exchange was taken like a beating,

"Aren't you done yet?" Yagnos asked with his swollen, flushed face.

"Not yet! I Oryo had a stomach as vast as the seas!" Oryo simply replied.

But Oryong could now feel his limit, his eyes produced stars and the Yagnos in front of him had multiplied to four.

"I feel like vomiting..." Oryo honestly uttered among himself.

And another round of wine chugging is observed.

But eventually, someone is bound to give up...

Oryo who is barely hanging by the thread suddenly collapsed and sprawled to the ground.

Then the winner is announced!

Along with the roar from the crowd, a warrior suddenly interjected,

"Fellow bystanders who turned avid fans! Let me announce you the winner for this bout!"

"WOOOO!" Cheers and applause came.

"The winner is Yagnos!" the warrior said.

And Yagnos raised his arms high accompanied by a foolish grin.

Then Yagnos slowly exited the table where the wooden barrel of wine is emptied.

While groggily walking and dazed on his path, Yagnos whose eyes were bloodshot red suddenly felt that he had batted something with his feet.

Fighting the urge to collapse, Yagnos just witnessed a blurry figure abruptly stumbling down.

.

.

.

...

And that figure actually belonged to the poor disabled Talto.

"Hey watch it!"

"Talto! are you alright?" Malpi angrily shouted at Yagnos.

But Yagnos just shrugged his shoulders, unaware of his surroundings.

"Ehh did I just kicked someone?" Yagnos uttering such words, made the two Alipins think he is provoking them into a brawl. Especially Aen.

"This drunkard!" The small Aen went in front of Malpi and also kicked Yagnos in his knee.

Argus who are behind them wanted to stop Aen but it was too late!

Aen already kicked Yagnos good in his knee. Aen had even used the tip of his toes in doing so!

"Serves you right!" Aen even added.

But he realized that he was wrong to blame a drunkard and also when he examined that it was actually Yagnos, Aen felt his scalps tingling...

"It's Yagnos! The Sea God Maguayan... curse..." Aen's pupil dilated.

Because Aen is small, he had difficulty in peering the face of Yagnos.

In his sight, the world is so big. The people who are tall, all looked the same!

Now, he can only stare back at his brothers.

"This idiot..." Argus inwardly scoffed, scratching his head as he planted a rod out from his hands towards the ground.

But amidst the group of Argus, Yagnos also stumbled down, collapsing headfirst towards the body of the already sprawled Talto who are just about to try standing up.

.

.

.

...

"The heck! Damn this Asshole! Hey watch it!" Talto screamed the now pinned down Talto.

Seeing his subordinate struggling, Argus came to rescue.

"Hey, stand up!" Argus tapped Yagnos' shoulders but found that he is not responding.

"Hey!" He called out again but to no avail... Yagnos is already unconscious.

"This is weary, we are just supposed to look for weapons in that stall." Along with a sigh, Argus muttered to himself.

Then he ordered the other two to carry this burly Yagnos off from Talto.

"Ehh he is too heavy." Aen, tilting his neck upwards complained.

"Badong, mind helping us a bit? I mean Aargus" Malpi said while releasing his firm grip from Yagnos' arms.

Argus shook his head as he helped the two.

After some numerous attempts, they finally succeeded in removing the unconscious Yagnos off from pinning down the poor Talto.

"Are you alright?" Aen is concerned and asked.

Which Talto replied shortly with "I am fine."

Then the four shook their heads as they observed Yagnos who is sprawled below the ground.

"What shall we do with this guy?" Aen who among the group who first initiated the supposed scuffle was also the first to ask.

Perhaps being guilty of what he did.

Argus stared the unconscious Yagnos for a moment before shifting his gaze towards the stall.

"Leave him be..." He insipidly replied.

And the group quietly left the unconscious Yagnos.

Upon their disappearance, some concerned individuals tried waking Yagnos up but when anyone saw that it's actually Yagnos, they all avoided him like a plague.

It is a pity, but that's how usually the world is.

No matter which world you came from, nobody wants unnecessary trouble coming their way.

And Yagnos? He is definitely... Trouble!

.

.

.

...

Listlessly walking and thinking of numerous thoughts, Argus and his group arrived at the stall where there's a trader selling weapons.

"What are we doing here Badong... I mean Argus?" Malpi spoke while still trying to get the hang of calling Argus' real name.

"Are we here so you could buy a weapon? speaking of which you are pretty good at using the spear, so why not just pick a spear?" Aen interjected as he recalled the brave, courageous and skilled display of hunting which Miguel had previously displayed.

Little did they know, that it's not Argus who did all of that.

Somebody else instead.

This made Argus feel a sense of inferiority, he got these three for free due to Miguel.

"Uhmm... I already have a weapon at hand. It is for the two of you. I plan on teaching you how to fight." Argus plainly stated his plans among the three.

"And since, Talto could not fight in his best, for the meantime, it will be just the two of you." He added.

"You mean, we'll get to receive your guidance?" Malpi was surprised and questioned.

"Yes!" Argus vehemently nodded. He smiled as he imagined his group being armed to fight.

But also became dejected when he remembered that they are just a bunch of Alipins led by a Sulgo.

"Don't mind! I shall carve my own epic with a handicap." Argus thought to himself.

.

.

...

At the rows of stalls where many traders busily sell their own goods of weapons, at the farthest corner, Argus and the group went there to have a look.

"Hello, what do you need?" A middle-aged trader politely asked.

"We—" And just when Argus is about to even utter a single word, the middle-aged man gazed at him with contempt.

The Trader noticed Argus' clothes and his brows knitted into an ugly frown.

It is safe to assume that a large disparity still exists and that no matter which rank you have, as long as you are a slave, a slave is still a slave.

So when the trader noticed their clothes, he can't help but berate them in his mind.

"Get lost! You won't be able to pay anyway. But if you are here to buy for your master then it is understandable and you are welcome to come. But please spare me, I don't want unnecessary trouble coming on my stand." The trader solemnly warned, scrutinizing them from head to toe.

"Hmph! Never mind! We are not buying!" Argus shouted and walked away.

"Let's go!" He signalled the trio and the dazed trio just followed, following Argus on the next stall.
