Two months later:
In these two months much changed, the once peaceful city was haunted by thugs and the dead lay scattered around the city every day. Actually it started harmlessly, some of them fought because they didn't care but when the first angel died the whole thing started to get out of hand. Most of them didn't dare to leave the house anymore, stayed there and only came outside during working hours. But Ismael did not mind. He was even happy. He wasn't afraid. Since the brawls had started, he had been spared the teasing of the devil. Ishmael had always wondered if the devil was dead, but he made it disappear again. So over time he had become a completely different angel. He laughed all the time and whistled happily when he went to school or back.
One day, Ishmael ran home happy, whistling a melody from an earth movie. Star Wars, they called it. He thought the movie sucked, but the music was really great. When this song whistled now, he turned the corners to cover the last few meters to his home. He passed the wall of the house where there was a niche where you couldn't see who you were passing until you were at the same level as them. Ismael was always afraid before, he always believed that the devil could play a trick on him there. But the devil had never hidden there. But still it had made its mark on Ismael and he always stopped at the height of the niche and looked inside. He did so on that day as well and when he looked into the niche he saw four angels between the two walls that ran parallel to the back. At first Ismael had only seen three, standing in a circle. Only later he had seen that another angel was lying on the ground and stretched out his hand upwards seeking help. The other three, Ishmael assumed, stepped on him. Ishmael began to laugh and so loudly that the three angels turned around in complete surprise and looked at him in a bewildered way. Ishmael looked at the three of them alternately. Then he bent over, made an inviting gesture and said, "Still a lot of fun." and he scurried on home.
