As carmen arrived at her apartment. Placed the brown bag in her closet and began to pull out a black dress and white pearls. She pulled out a shoebox that had a pair of black shoes. The black dress was made out of satin material. Which had a slit and of the shoulder sleeves. She went to look for her clutch bag. When her phone rang and looked at her phone. While getting near the window to see William
"Hey, Carmen I just arrived," she notices him looking at her window.
"I will right down." she grabbed her clutch bag and headed to the elevator to where she then realized that she was still wearing her patience wrist band from the hospital. When the elevator got on the floor she needs to get off.
"Hey sorry but can you cut this out for me I forgot to remove it and I am in a hurry." carmen said as the security from the door cut the bracelet off.
"Thank you very much." she headed towards the door.
William was leaning on the car having a smoke. He notices carmen as he dropped his cigarette and stepped on the cigarette. He looked at her the same way he did when he first met her. Which he was interrupted by the sound of her clearing her throat signaling that she was ready to leave. Which he opened the door and Carmen got in. He opened the door and started the car.
"William I know your good friends with Kang but I need to tell you something but promise me you won't tell him," said Carmen. When he heard his best friend's name he clenches the staring wheel. He looked at her thru the rear mirror and looked back at the road.
"What can it be?" He said as he looked back. He notices her hand were on her belly
"I am pregnant so please don't tell Kang I want to be the one to break the news." said carmen. He noticed her face was shining with joy as she broke the news to him. Which he knew that he could not tell her that she was not the one that Kang wanted.
"I promise I won't tell but are you sure you want to have his baby," said William
"Of course I want to. It's a blessing and your his friend yet you're still asking me," said Carmen
"I am but you... Never mind," said William as he drove. He was hurt deep down yet also smiled because he knew that Kang will leave her. he could make his moves.
"My brother is in South Korea. He wants to meet Kang. Plus he came for some business. I told him and he seemed fine with it but wants me to go back to Mexico." said carmen. Watching her smile
"Carmen I will let him know when you set the date and you should go back to Mexico. after all we won't be needing you and your family might want to see you," said William as he looked at the road ahead. Noticing that they were about to arrive at the lee company building. He saw that there was a red carpet. He got off and opened the door for carmen. He had held out his hand for her and she stepped down the car as the cameras their turn to see her and began to snap pictures of them. She gave him a nod at him as he let go of her hand as she walked the rest of the way by herself. He turned his back towards and headed back inside his car. When he noticed a black Roll Royce pull up after he left.
Lucas hard arrived at his family condo as removed his suit. He orders to investigate where Carmen was going to be. He had removed his part of his suit. And only had his unbuttoned white shirt, black dress pants, and his blue slippers as he sat down on his chair looking at his tablet.
"Mr. Martinez the event that the Miss is attending is a company by the Lee family one of the best cosmetic lines here in Asia. They have come up with a new line thanks to their daughter Lee Ji Min. Also, your family has been invited but nobody in your family has ever attended will you be attending this event." said the man who gave him the invitation to the event.
"For my dear sister, I will be attending the event. So get everything ready," said Lucas as he stood up from his chair. Heading to the bathroom to shower. As the water hit his hair and the rest of his body. After washing up he wrapped his towel around him and grabbed another towel to dry his hair as much a possible. A knock at the door came
"Sir we left your clothes on your bed." said a man
"Thanks," said Lucas. He walked out of the bathroom to his room he began to put on his clothes it was a black and white suit. As he buttons up his shirt he looked at a mirror and was putting on his bow tie. When he looked at the two pictures one of his girlfriend and the other of his aunt.
"Even our beauty mark is a curse," he murmurs to himself as he pulled out the picture of his Aunt and threw it in the trash bin. He got out of his room. As every man that was, there followed him out to the car took him to the event.
