Chapter 25 - Dear Older Brother

[If god exists...then Thank You for giving me this chance...]

Suddenly there was a huge slam to the door, it was wide open with knights trying to catch their breaths, Ejekiel sent a piercing glare at them, not giving them time to explain, until a knight with enough guts to speak up said, "Your Grace! There's been an attack at the villa where the young master is residing in!"

My heart skipped a beat in fear, [I mean, I guess he's still my brother by blood, right?] I turned to daddy who seemed to have a serious expression on his face. He then got up from his place and replied, "alright. I'll be heading there myself, prepare to dispatch 2-3 knights to head over with me. Protect Louise Personally whilst I'm there, Matthew." I darted toward the man I once called father and hugged him one last time, "Daddy...Be careful." I reminded, Tears started to roll down my cheeks. [I don't want to be the main character, I just want to live peacefully with people who love me...I just want to be selfish just this once. Please.]

He loosened my grip on his waist and walked away, silently, without a reply. Matthew stood there looking at me pitifully as if he'd been feeling bad for me, the little girl that was despised by the people around me. "..Can you guard me from outside the door, matthew?" I asked, he nodded anxious but did as he was told.

"Master...Please don't cry, everything will be alright!"

"Oppa is gonna get hurt, and I want to do something! I want to help, but I don't want to get in the way either. this is all my fault, had I not been hoarding daddy for a few days, Oppa would've been alright!" I shouted, I ran towards the window in my room and left it wide open for everyone to see. I secretly cast a protection spell with 3 layers over daddy.

[I don't want someone to risk their lives for me again. I don't want anymore deaths, I know it's naive but this is all I can do for now. be safe, daddy...] The wind blew softly caressing my head, almost as if it felt guilty for the treatments I received, Myung watched in worry and turned back into a bunny. The wind passed on my message with it's light and gentle breeze, Be safe Daddy.

Ejekiel looked up one last time to see his daughter leaving the window and closing the small doors, He sighed happily as the breeze dropped a flower on his palm. A voice was heard coming out from the wind's gentle breeze, "Be safe, Daddy," it turned and then it's petals twirled in the currents of the wind, "My, what do we have here? A heartbroken child from another world has arrived? Oh and it seems she's yearning for her father's safety, ah how tragic! it'd be best to watch how she grows, although it is quite cliche, I want to see how it goes." The wind spoke, the elf grinned from ear to ear and vanished.

"Argh! You bastards..!"

"Wow~ Where does a young child learn such vulgar words?! Ah right!~ You're the dirty one, I can't believe the duke picked up a child like you~" A man pointed the tip of his sword at his throat menacingly, "A child with no blood of the duke and overly-powerful that he's become a monster at that. Are you just waiting for your death?" The man cackled as he pushed the boy to the wall with the tip gleaming almost mocking the young boy. He used to be a servant under the duke's command, his most trusted follower, stabbed him and took the side of the rebels.

[I need to cast a spell! fast! I should just use a fire spell. father won't mind at all.] He opened his palm and slammed it on the man's arm fire burning his thick skin. "Ah! AHHH!!" He revolted in pain, the man turned to his comrades in the back of the room taking care of the young master's servants.

"SAVE ME!! WHAT ARE YOU IDIOTS LOOKING AT?!??! DO SOMETHING!!" He shouted, the men unsheathed their swords walking carefully and slowly towards the man and the young boy. "You..! You upset Master! You deserve to DIE!! ARGHHHH!!!" The man darted towards the boy rapidly, but it wasn't fast enough, the young boy was son teleported from the corner to the back of the man.

"You didn't think it was going to be this easy, Right?" He asked, the child grinned and sliced the man's head off his body. [Who was his master? Tch. These assassins are getting annoying, and my old man isn't here yet.] He loosened his tie around his neck and finally turned to the man's comrades.

"So, what was this about a Master?" He glowered with a smirk plastered on his face, the men shivered just being in his presence and dropped their weapons. "W-wait--! have mercy on us! it was..!" they turned to each other and nodded, "it was the young lady that asked us to get rid of you!"

"What?" He was shocked to hear the news and walked over to them, "This better not be a lie, because if it is, it's both of your heads that will be lying on the ground tonight." They shivered as he slipped his thin gloves that only covered most of his palm and sat there, [master will soon know of this! we'll only get so far with revealing her identity, we have to protect her at all costs once her brother gets home!]
