Kina's past POV
"Albert, I appreciate this. But why my place? Can't this scrawny brat be with that nurse?" Kina looked up at old man, Albert sighs rubbing her head gently. "Gareth, please. Just few days so we know what happened to her. Besides she has a little battlescar just like you..!" Albert chuckled nervously, Kina looked confused seeing the old man staring down at her. "Fine, but you owe me gold for this." "Oh! Thank you very much." Albert kneeled down, Kina looked at him as she stayed silent. "Little lady, this man is named Gareth. He was best warrior from a battlefield, he'll tell you stories and stuff he done." "No I won't." "Yes! He will, he's old that's why he needs to eat and sleep." "Hey..! Excuse me-" "Well! Bye, have fun!" Albert rushes out, Kina looked up at Gareth. He sighs pushing her in the house, she glances around.
"I'll give you a tour, and do not touch anything." Gareth walked towards his living explaining her what she can do, they both walked upstairs showing her room to stay in, he warned her to not go in his room. as they walked downstairs showing the kitchen around, Kina grabbed a knife as Gareth panicked grabbing it quickly. "Do not touch." He groaned, Gareth walked towards the door at the hallway. he opened it stepping down from the stairs as he showed her where he study his skills, practicing and others. Kina looked at the weapons, walking up to it. "Do not touch!" Kina cover her ears looking at Gareth as she glared a bit, he walked back upstairs waiting for her to come as Kina rushes.
"Good. Now you know the basics, you can do whatever in the living room. But shoes off, those carpets were from my dead friend. He was killed by a wolf, so anyways. I'll make food for both of us, I'm assuming you like meat because of your skin color." Kina looked at him glaring. "My skin doesn't mean anything sir." She spoke gently walking to the living sitting down at the couch as she sighed relieved. Gareth stayed silent as he walked to the kitchen, Kina hummed happily.
Few hours
"And next thing you know, a sword struck on my back. And I was unconscious for 1 week! Haha..!" Gareth smiled, Kina chuckles softly. "Sir Gareth, those were amazing stories. I wish I be a warrior so I can be like you." She hugged the pillow tightly as Gareth pats her head gently. "Kina, our world may never know what's next in the future. But, how did you really get here?" Gareth asked Kina, she tries to think. "I was washed up, I don't remember how I got here, nor how I'm alive. It's.. All a blur." She replied not knowing to what to answer, she looked down glaring a bit. "Well, you can't blame yourself for that. Your memories will come, say how about tomorrow we train? Maybe we can spark something." "Really!?" Their conversation fades slowly.
