ONCE UPON A TIME, in a world far away from the one you know, lived two extraordinary souls. They resided in the enormous continent of Godsland, in different countries.
While one was a brilliant Sun, admired and adored by all, another was a lonely Moon, hidden in the darkness of night.
The reason why they were extraordinary was because of their Royal blood, which allowed them to possess powers beyond human imagination.
When these powers, which in their purest form were the most powerful magic in the universe, finally awakened, the two souls were graced with hefty congratulations and mighty celebrations.
One would think that they were capable of ruling over the world without a single care.
But that was not the case. As a consequence their strength which was incomparable and irreplaceable to their respective countries, their life had been lived in a carefully crafted illusion. It was a cage, both to protect and prevent escape.
Godsland was vast. The seat of 'Emperor' was empty, and smaller kingdoms β with their own Royal bloodlines, religions, and Mages β existed, competing for the empty throne to take it all. However, since none was an Emperor, the continent had turned into a place of constant conflict, which raged along for many years.
Therefore, it was the waging of wars and the exchanging of mercantile goods between different nations that had become a common occurrence.
And that is how their tale first began.
I shall try my best to dutifully narrate the WAR, the LOVE, and the POLITICAL STRIFE between the two remarkably different countries and how the union of these two extraordinary souls changed the course of the History of Godsland, turning the entire continent into a true paradise.
What is queer, however, is that their union can not have a more fitting description than "fated" or "destined," for even though the Sun and the Moon are absolute opposites, the two entities exist only for each another. They come in a pair, and never stand alone in the vast, empty sky.
This historic narration shall first originate from the Moonfolk and their enigmatic, mysterious land β the Kingdom of Mahina β that worships the waning and waxing of the Moon.
And will follow shortly on to the Sunrace and their lively, boisterous country β the Sol Kingdom β that cherishes and thrives under the bright rays of the shining Sun.
And yet, it is not the place nor kingdom that is the most important aspect of this narration. For it all begins with only a single encounter.
Between a Moon Princess, who wed the King of the Sun.
