Chapter 13 - Torture

"Where am I?" Mumbled Yuu. She looked around but couldn't find any clue. It was a room with white walls. Nothing was there, not even a window or even a chair.

"Is this the Peace Faction's laboratory?" Yuu tried to stand up.

"What happened?" Yuu tried to remember what happened in her house.

---

Her parents came to visit. They sat down and chatted in the living room, but their opinions differ from each other. Yuu tried to defense on her own decision, but her parents stated otherwise. Suddenly a black-coat man burst into her house.

"Don't blame me from not warning you." The black-coat man raised his hand, and Yuu felt pain on her leg along with sleepiness. Yuu tried to take a look at what stabbed her leg. It was a tranquilliser.

---

"He!" Yuu let out a disapproval snort, and continued, "Am I a beast? They need to use tranquilizer to shoot me sleep."

Yuu approached the wall and saw so many small tiles uniformly attached to the wall.

"This is so disgusting," said Yuu and covered her mouth, "These small tiles create an illusion if you stare at it too much."

"This is the newest type of torture they use for prisoners," said Yuu while glancing at the other walls. She closed her eyes and touched the tiles. She tried to feel the tiles and slowly pressed them with her fingers.

"There should be a way out." Yuu crunched over and touched the connection of two walls.

Suddenly a weird noise came out from her earrings, "Zzz…"

"Jer?" whispered Yuu.

"Z… Y… Z… U… Z… Yuu!"

"Ah, finally, it's connected!" said Yuu relived.

"Yuu!" shouted Jer.

"Erm, please don't shout inside my ears, Jer. I can hear you," said Yuu while covered her ears even though she knew its pointless.

"Ehem, I apologize," said Jer. Yuu giggled while imagining Jer correcting his necktie.

"I presume I was kidnaped, right?" asked Yuu. She sat down carefully on the floor as near as possible with the wall to maintain the connection.

"Yes, and I could detect a big dose of sedative inside your blood," whispered Jer.

Yuu sighed hard and continued, "It's unbelievable that my parents actually allow them to use that kind of underhanded method."

"I hate to say this, but your parents just betrayed you."

"You didn't have to tell me. I know that."

"What are you going to do now?"

"As long as I'm not life threaten, I think I will go as what they say."

"Are you sure you can trust them? They use tranquilizer!"

"I know. I will be careful."

"I think it's best to leave part of me here as a backup plan."

"You think so?"

"Of course. We don't know what they would do."

"Okay." Yuu grabbed a tiny white stopper from the back of her earring and slipped it between the tiles on the wall.

"This should be alright."

Suddenly the wall across Yuu slides open and a black-coat man entered, followed by few white-coat humans rushed in. They brought pieces of equipment and assembled them in the middle of the room.

"Yeah, nice to see you alive," said the black-coat man.

"Trisno," mumbled Yuu.

"I'm glad you still remember me, Yuu." Trisno turned to the side and slowly walked along the wall to approach Yuu, but Yuu followed his movements and walked away.

"What do you want?!" crushed Yuu.

"Hm, nothing? I'm just doing what I was told to do," said Trisno while lifting his two hands in the air and flipped them around.

Yuu didn't utter any words and kept silent. She tried her best to stay composed as much as possible.

"Do you want to join the Peace Faction?" asked Trisno while turned his gaze to Yuu. He stopped at the place where Yuu sat and crossed his hands in front of him.

"No," said Yuu firm.

"You should think twice before you answer, Yuu." Trisno lifted his hand, and those white-coat humans waiting in the middle of the room rushed and grabbed her.

Yuu tried to struggle and tried to breakthrough, but those humans' strengths were no jokes.

Trisno looked down on the floor before looked straight into Yuu's eyes, "I will ask you once more. Do you want to join the Peace Faction?"

"Not even with my dead body!" Shouted Yuu.

"You gave me no choice then." Trisno gently lifted his shoulders and turned his gaze to the interrogation chair in the middle of the room.

As if it was a sign, the white-coat humans hastily dragged Yuu to the chair and tied her there.

Yuu tried to break the thick restrainer on her both hands and legs.

Seeing Yuu on the chair, Trisno burst out a loud laugh. He approached Yuu and grabbed her chin. "You know it's like a dream come true to have you taste my invention," whispered Trisno.

"Pshyco," crushed Yuu.

"You must be very curious about this chair of mine, right?" Trisno spun around and took out a remote from his pocket.

"Not even a bit," crushed Yuu.

"Oh," said Trisno while turned around. He inched closer to Yuu and whispered, "Because you are going to be my first test subject." He pressed a button on the remote, and a needle came out beside Yuu's neck. The needle inched closer and closer.

Yuu tried to avoid it, but the restrainer on the neck stopped her from moving even a millimeter. The needle stabbed on Yuu's neck and injected a blue liquid.

Yuu's eyes became unfocused, and she felt like flying in the sky. The light feeling gave her a hard time to focus.

"So," said Trisno backed away from the unfocus Yuu and continued, "Do you want to join the Peace Faction?"

"No!" shouted Yuu loud.

"Hm, I think the drug is not enough." Trisno pressed the button again. The needle came out and injected more blue liquid into Yuu.

"So, how about now? Do you want to join the Peace Faction?"

"In your dream!"

"Then, let's add more dose." Trisno pressed three-zero-zero on his remote and the display changed from one-zero-zero to three-zero-zero. He pushed the same button again, this time the needle injected a deep blue liquid into Yuu and she fainted.
