His eyes darted from person to person, desperately searching, analysing.
"Too weak."
"Not suitable for a sparring match."
The details raced through his mind, saturating his brain with colours, words, images and concepts. He'd decided that if he was going to be forced into a fight, he was at least going to guarantee it would be an enormous spectacle.
"Too complicated."
"Too slow."
No one seemed to have anything fit for what he wanted, nothing with quite enough flair or a big enough sense of wonder. He took one last glance around the field, slowly, tactfully scanning each person. His eyes locked on to his target.
"That should work."
He sprinted off towards the lone boy and girl that were standing around nonchalantly chatting off to the side of the field. The boy, who was quite a bit taller than Pyrus himself, had dark brown hair that he seemed to have loosely combed back in an attempt to make himself look presentable. This made it look wavy and spiky at the same time, like someone who had just gotten out of bed but had just enough time to glance at a mirror and decided they looked good enough. The girl, clearly on the shorter side of the spectrum, donned a cute, hazel coloured, neck length cut, perfectly tied back in a neat, short little pony tail. She didn't appear to have a single hair out of place.
"You two aren't going out or anything?" Pyrus asked in his patented teasing tone. His calm nature hid his wolfish intentions.
The girl scanned him up and down a few times. A small smile creeping onto her lips told Pyrus she clearly liked what she saw. After a short silence her eyes locked with his.
She playfully shot back an answer. "No, we're just friends, we're actually both single."
His face lit up in a wicked smile.
"Good, so I'm not offending anyone by doing-" he grabbed the guy by the collar of his shirt and pulled him down, "this." He gave him a quick peck on the lips
The guy froze, clearly not happy with what just transpired, but also just not sure how to react. Pyrus shot the girl a wink as the guy meekly lifted his hand to wipe his lips. The girl looked completely awestruck. Her eyes gave the impression that she was trying her best to hold back her tears of laughter, while also appearing as if Pyrus had just offended her whole family and her cow.
"Sorry, I should really learn to introduce myself before doing stuff like this. The name's Pyrus, and that girl barrelling towards us quite probably wants to kill me. I just came here to borrow some inspiration." Pyrus shot a smirking wink at the girl before bolting off again, this time toward the crazy woman.
