"That's all I have to say. You can take the supplies and use the truck if the truck is still attached and working."
"Thanks for the help." I said.
"By the way if you happen to encounter the ones that ran away. Tell them to all go to hell. Well besides Karly and Tern they were a nice couple of people."
"We'll make sure to do that."
I had one more question to ask her but she slowly died tilting her head sideways.
"She's dead. Let's go check out the truck. I'll check the front seat you two can go and see what's in the back of the truck."
I stood up from kneeling while listening to her. Isra was a bit emotional from the story. She was crying with her eyes filled with tears.
Her eyes had changed into mixed colors of red and blue which I could see looking straight at her eyes. To me it looked like she had mixed feelings of anger and sadness. I have never seen someone that would be so emotional by such a story.
I walked towards the other side of the truck where the driver seat was while I was thinking.
Honestly I don't think it was such a sad story. Things like this would probably always happen somewhere in the world that we live in now. I think we could call it living anymore.
We're just scattered groups of people trying to live just like the days when back to the very first vagabond humans would just move from place to place to just survive. Sure, civilization would be built sooner or later but it would just crumble again and again.
I got to the driver side of the truck and I opened the truck real easily. As I opened the door I saw a man with a blue cap covering his face in the driver seat with his left arm completely cut off and in bandages while his other arm was fine.
He woke up instantly when I opened the door, hitting the horn for a slight second making a loud noise.
"What the sh*t?!" Panicking, he fell out of the truck to the ground.
I moved back a bit so that he didn't hit me while he fell.
"Who's there?!'
He pushed himself up with his arm. His cap fell off, showing me a handsome face. He looked at me and then leaned on the truck looking at me. For some reason his eyes were shining when he looked blinding me/
"Why hello there. You're a cute looking one."
The way he said it and the way he just rolled with it ticked me off. I immediately just punched him in the face reflexively and it looked like he just let me hit him. He went flying a few feet away from hitting him with my strongest punch I could muster.
Ava appeared from behind the truck with Isra. Ava looked down as the person slid next to her.
"What happened here?" Ava asked.
"Something about this guy ticked me off."
"Well what are you gonna do with this person?" Isra says.
"Well he looks like a person who knows things. Let's just put him in the back of the truck. And speaking of which, what was inside the truck Ava?"
"There's some food for us and lots of medical supplies. Now we don't have to be too worried about being injured. It's amazing how we survived this far without a scratch on us."
"It's because of our great team work and our escape skills." Isra says.
"Yeah but anyway who wants to drive? There's a window to the back of the truck so we could talk while somebody is driving.
"I'll drive since I've been the one driving this whole time."
Before we drove Ava turned him over and saw his face also. Both of them were surprised by his face. Ava had a straight face while Isra was completely mesmerized by his face.
"Can I sit in the back also?" Isra asked
"Yeah, We're both sitting in the back. We need to make sure he doesn't escape or anything."
Ava without a care picked him up single handedly and threw him in the back of the truck without remorse. Ava got into the driver seat and we went into the back of the truck.
The supplies were all organized; they were all in the middle straight enough for us to get all the way into the back of the truck where the little window where we can talk was at.
We climbed into the truck and Isra and I dragged him further into the truck. We sat at the end of the truck while the guy was on the floor. Isra was staring at him the whole time when we dragged him inside.
"So where are we going next?"
"We came here with what we were looking for. Now we just have to get outta here."
"What about the people that she was talking about?"
"No worries they went the same way where we came from. You can clearly see where the monster went from the dragging on the ground. So we should be able to catch up to them. They're probably dead also because of that monster so free food and medical supplies."
Ava started the engine and set off.
*10 minutes later*
Sitting in the back of the truck the seats were uncomfortable but I endured it since we had a lot of supplies with us. Isra was still staring at him ignoring the pain from the seats. Her eyes were pure pink; it even looked like her pupils were making a heart shape.
What's more amazing is that the guy was still unconscious and was laying on the wall of the truck. I could literally see the vibration from him as it went through his body.
We were on the same road again still driving.
The person on the ground woke up to the stare of Isra. His face was clearly sweating from what I can see as Isra got closer to him.
"Isra you're a bit too close."
"Oh sorry it's just that he looks so…handsome…"
Isra touches his hair.
I looked back at the person and he closed his eyes pretending that he was sleeping.
