There was a long paused of silence before Mr Huang answered Mr Lin.
He then glanced at Mr Lin and declared tightly, "Mr Lin are you sure you want my help?! There is a strict rule in our business that if someone borrows taels from the Huang's then they have to return the taels within a month but if the borrower isn't able to return the taels then they have to work as a slave in the Huang's household till the debt is all clear!"
Lin's couple looked at each other stupefied. They were sure that they won't be able to clear the debt of three thousand five hundred gold taels within a month which means the two of them have to work as a slave in the Huang's household for the remaining five years! But still.... thinking that it was better to work as a slave then to sell their home, they agreed to it.
Therefore, Mr Lin speaks up, "Mr Huang we are so in need of the taels, therefore, my wife and I agree to your terms!"
