When Race noticed the fresh tears in Francheska's eyes, he pulled the handkerchief he prepared earlier. Race gently wiped the tears on Francheska's face before pulling her in a warm embrace. To make her more comfortable, Race is also patting her back.
"Everything is going to be okay, Cheska. Your mom is also a fighter. See? She is now recovering. Your mother will surely recognize you again."
Instead of nodding her head, Francheska did not stop herself this time and cried loudly on Race's shoulder. They stayed in that position for a while until Francheska slowly peeled herself from his arms. Race left real quick to fetch her bottled water. Francheska thanked her before drinking the water. She did not notice that her throat becomes dry until her tongue touched the cold water.
"Are you okay now?" Race carefully asked Francheska.
"Hmm." Francheska hummed as an answer.
"Do you want to drink more water? I can buy you another bottle if you want."
