The two Encanto's had just arrived at the portal's entrance; right-away and happily counted their hard-earned golds as a payment to their job well done being the representatives of Prince Lan Wangji in the human world. Never in a million years had they imagine to hold and own a heavy pouch of gold as a payment! It was indeed the happiest day of their lives- such an easy job and they got paid with a pouch of gold coins.
The gossipers went on them inquiring where they got such huge amounts and the two just shrugged and said nothing. The Prince clearly instructed them not to say a word if they wish to continue living their lives. The two excitedly walked out to the crowd of gossipers and planned to enjoy their money by spending it on an Encantada who offers herself in exchange for money and of course good food and old-aged alcohol!
Just as the two could get inside into the huge oak tree drinking house, a beautiful Encantada suddenly appeared in front of them. She looks radiant and charming; body accessories corporates on her yellow-gold Hanfu; her face so calming and a red colored ruby gem pasted on his forehead. She smiled at them and the two couldn't help but fall in love with that beauty. She handed him two pouches of gold, the two then realized her purpose. Money is important to them and so their lives but she promised to keep it as a secret. For the two low levels of Encanto, even without the gold coins, who would dare say no to a Princess inquiry?
Mr. Lan Yibo returned with a bottle of alcohol. He says it's his personal favorite and is exclusively made for his family.
Wei Zhan nodded while listening to the other man talking. But when his eyes landed on the white and blue classic style ceramic bottle his odd feeling rose again.
Mr. Lan seemed to notice the sudden change of his expression, hence poured the alcohol in a shot glass and handed it to him "we call it Emperor's smile", he said looking at him proudly. He paused for a second as he tried to rewind to where he heard that alcoholic drink as he thought he heard the name before. He brought the small glass to his nostrils as he sniffed the familiar strong scent of the alcohol before drinking it.
"Ah! Emperor's smile!" he cries "I missed you!"
Lan Yibo stared at him "Have you tried this before?" face appeared to be surprised
Wei Zhan shaking his head "I haven't but smells and tastes familiar to me" he honestly said.
Lan Yibo nods, agreeing to what he was conveying.
"I'm sorry, but have we met before Mr. Lan? You're really familiar to me, I think I saw you before I just can't recall where"
Lan Yibo shrugging "honestly you are familiar too! I bet we already do"
Wei Zhan laughed, "well.." and then suddenly jolted in delight "I knew it!". Lan Yibo looked at him curiously. "Ahaha. Sorry Mr. Lan! I remember now, maybe because you look like my idol, Wang Yibo. Oh! Come to think of it you two have the same first name!" He quickly searches for Wang Yibo and shows its pictures to Mr. Lan.
They ate their meals and talked about designing as a business. Wei Zhan discovers that Mr. Lan is not much of a talker so as a business proponent, he did almost all of the talking to progress a good conversation. When their meal was finished, Wei Zhan gathers and shows the black and white of his sketches for Mr. Lan's perusal. The impassive man carefully reviews every detail of his proposed designed ideas.
Wei Zhan explained every concept and story of every design. He casually glances at the other man as he talks. Mr. Lan attentively listened to him as he switched his attention to him and to the paper he was holding.
Zhan is used to this kind of job, explaining the details to clients to the connection of the designs. However, in this case of Mr. Lan, he was quite uncomfortable- but not in a bad way. He was uncomfortable looking at him as the other man looks beautiful and manly at the same time. He suddenly felt conscious of his appearance especially if Mr. Lan would look at him so seriously. He thought that the man slightly gazed at his lips and gulps, making his Adam's apple move. And that, he is afraid he might mess up explaining and his name will be forever tainted being unprofessional at work. After all, Mr. Lan is a VVIP. He had read the agreement and that includes a huge amount of money. He needed to inked it with his signature.
He looked at the man and he panicked as he couldn't read his face's reaction. He can't tell if he was pleased or not?
Vexingly, Mr. Lan didn't approve of his designs and he was beyond annoyed-not because he didn't approve it but his choice of words was not acceptable! He doesn't want his designs to be futile and so he tried negotiating.
Mr. Lan inked the agreement in exchange for his participation; to personally design the exterior and interior of a yacht. He said that this yacht is his gift to his special someone and he wanted it to be perfect. Of course, Wei Zhan will be compensated according to his participation and it's not really a bad idea for Zhan.
The meeting was a success and he can't wait to relay the good news to his bosses.
"Thank you for your trust Mr. Lan. Rest assured that the Creative Lab will work hard for this project".
Lan Yibo nods. "Welcome. Please know that I will always choose you" Lan Yibo replied and he was sure that he saw his eyes smile. Wei Zhan almost collapsed upon hearing that. But advises himself immediately that maybe he meant he would always choose the Creative Lab as his designing company of choice. And that, they exchanged numbers before bidding their goodbyes.
Lan Wangji even questioned himself for doing this. He had a hard time adjusting in the human world for the past months as he wanted to pursue Wei Zhan in a human way. His brother suggested to just kidnap Zhan and marry him in Elysian, that wouldn't be too much hassle for him. But Lan Wangji doesn't want to scare the human, for the first time he felt he needed to pursue Zhan and not the other way around. He is used to being chased and pursued and he doesn't want that! This one is a challenge for him and he is kinda enjoying it. If he only knew being a human is fun, he must've gone in the human world earlier. Still, as what his King father had told him- to remain to lay low and not to use too much of his powers as much as possible to minimize himself from exposing his real identity from the different Encanto specie.
That would create a great scandal and chaos if the whole Elysian would come to know that Lan Wangji went to the human world to pursue a human instead of setting off from a quest to strengthen his prowess more. The underworld might use Zhan against Wangi to hurt him because after all, he was Bathaluman's son.
Frustrated by the traffic, he invisibled his car and passes through an array of vehicles and goes his way to his house.
Slumping on his couch, he searches Wang Yibo with the help of Siri. The prince Encanto perused his way of clothing. "Not bad" he mumbled. He will consider copying his style and way of clothing for their next meeting
