Daichi's POV:
The next day at morning practice, I couldn't stop thinking about him; he was everywhere. I tried my best to focus on volleyball but it didn't work very well, in fact I was so bad at paying attention that everyone noticed something was off about me today. Of course I wasn't going to tell them that I fell in love, I would never tell these guys such personal things. Well maybe Asahi and possibly Ennoshita because I know they wouldn't go around telling people, but everyone else is terrible at keeping secrets.
Practice went by fast and coach Ukai let us out five minutes early. I texted Koushi to let him know and told him I'd wait outside of his class. Only seconds after I arrived outside of his class I saw him walking towards me. I smiled the moment I saw him and he smiled back.
"Hey, sorry I never texted you back last night; I had a lot of homework to do." Sugawara shrugged.
"Don't worry, I had quite a bit of school work too."
"So what class are you in?"
"Class 4. So Sugawara-"
"You can just call me Suga, it's easier." He smiled.
My heart raced in my chest as I stared into his deep brown eyes.
"O-okay Suga, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out this weekend? We could get to know each other a little bit better." I shrugged, I tried to keep it cool but knew I was a blushing mess.
"Yeah, I don't think I have any plans." He smiled with a light blush on his face.
"Great, we can work out details later then."
The bell rang.
"Well, I'll talk to you later." He smiled before making his way into class.
"Suga, wait." I blurted out before thinking.
He turned around to look at me.
"I just wanted to see your face again." I smirked.
His face went a dark shade of red and I felt my face get all hot too.
"I-I'll see you later." He smiled.
"Wanna maybe hang out at lunch?"
"If you want to come watch me practice in the music room."
"Sure, I'd like that." I smiled.
He nodded and went into class and I quickly made my way into my class. I sat down and buried my face in my crossed arms, why did I do that!?
Class came and went really fast and the whole time I was just nervous about hanging out with Suga and when the lunch bell rang I jumped. I gathered my things and made my way down to the music room. I slowly opened the door to see Suga setting up the piano, there were also a few other kids getting ready to practice.
"Oh hi." He smiled from where he sat, his smile was beautiful.
"Hi."
"You can grab a chair if you'd like." He shrugged.
I nodded and proceeded to get one. I placed it by the piano and he smiled at me.
"You really didn't have to come here today."
"I wanted to hang out, besides you're amazing at what you do so why wouldn't I want to come watch you?" I smiled.
"We could've hung out tomorrow." He blushed.
"Well we can do that too if you'd like."
"I would." He nodded.
I hadn't even realized what I said in the moment until I thought it over seconds later, I already felt so close and comfortable with Suga.
He began practicing and it took me out of reality, the way he played was so beautiful. Whenever he'd stopped we'd have a little conversation and I'd tell him how amazing he was. We didn't get too personal or anything but I really wanted to ask some deeper questions, they can probably wait.
"Do you have any plans after school?" He asked as he packed up his stuff.
"Yeah, I have practice. We're playing a practice match against Date Tech."
"Can I come watch?" My heart stopped for a second as I thought of him getting trampled by my wild teammates.
I looked over at him and he had such a sweet smile pasted on his face.
"Of course." I smiled.
The bell rang and we smiled at each other.
"I'll see you later." I smiled before turning to leave.
"Daichi," I turned around to see Suga. "Thank you for coming to watch me today, I really appreciate it."
His smile made me smile.
"Thanks for letting me come, I had a really good time."
