Chapter 1 - Chapter 1:Where?

~~~
A newscaster sat in front of the camera sitting up straight. Ready to talk about the news of the day like he has been for a few years. He cleared his throat a bit and started. "Good morning everyone, we're here to bring you your daily news, weather updates, and more. This morning it was found by police that another person has gone missing. Following this spree o-"
Dean felt the ground under him was damp and rough. He sat up slowly looking around. His head was aching. He was struggling to gather his thoughts for a bit while he sat there. Staring at the ground was dark brown dirt. 'What the..' Looking up he saw there where seemingly massive blades of grass and clovers that looked as if they were like a house compared to him. 'Where the hell am I! Last I knew I plopped onto my bed in my apartment. How did I end up here?' Looking down he saw he was still fully clothed. His black hoodie and dark gray jeans with black and white sneakers. He climbed to his feet and started walking. It wasn't too hot at the moment luckily. As he started walking he tried looking around but, all he could see was more grass, clovers, and some type of huge weeds. At least that's what he thought they were. He never really studied plant life much, so it was only a guess. He noticed there was a lot of space in between the grass. The ground was also completely darkish dirt which would sometimes make hills and large mounds. As he was walking a small blue square appeared in front of him. "What the Fuck!" Dean stopped walking and took a step back. The square moved with him staying at the same distance. Looking at it for a few seconds he calmed down a bit.
'well...That's something I guess...It looks like a version of a system from a game or novel...Well, it doesn't seem as great as the ones I've read before. It's still Something. What are the question marks for? hm.' Dean touched the one next to titles. A small rectangle appeared next to the main one.
[Titles are gained from doing things. And will grant the bearer certain buffs.]
As dean stared at this he then clicked the other two.
[Tier is the current stage of the user's body and eventually spirit/energy. Progression is gained through cultivating and through different physical activities.]
[Skills are different abilities or general skills the User owns. Skills can greatly vary.]
'Ok. Seams pretty straight forward.' Noticing there were only two tabs on the box, one being what he has open at the moment with a small person picture on it. The other a small chest. clicking it opened another box. As he guessed it would be an inventory. Although it wasn't very large. It was big enough for now. He clicked a little [X] in the top corner of the boxes closing them. Although he wasn't sure if what he saw was real. He didn't have the time to guess and mess with it. He continued walking in a straight line. As he did this for a bit he saw a fuzzy ball thing with thin legs fly past him. He turned and stared at it. Above it was [Gnat Threat:1] it looked a bit different from what he was used to seeing when it came to bugs. It looked almost cartoonish in shape. It didn't seem to care much of him for now, so it was better to just let it be. Plus it was pretty decently far from him now.
Continuing forward he kept looking around. Even if he couldn't find a way out, or where he was right now. He would need some shelter for now. He walked for a bit before he found a pile of rocks with a small area in the middle. There was nothing covering the top, or the side he was standing in front of at the moment. But there were no other gaps. 'This will have to do for now at least.' Looking around he found a large leaf and a piece of wood. He grabbed the wood and leaned it against the rocks to act as a door of sorts for now. Then grabbing a Leaf off the ground he dragged it up on top of the rocks. He hopped down and grabbed what he saw as pebbles and placed them back up on the leaf so it would not fly away in the case of strong wind. He slides inside the room And made sure the wood was across the opening. He stayed inside as the sun was starting to go down now, so there wasn't much he could do for now. He noticed there was a small gap between the rock and the wood in the bottom corner. Dean realized he had nothing on the ground but dirt. Sighing he went out and grabbed two big leaves to lay on the ground of his new small house. He opened the 'door' and dragged on in and pushed it against on half of the ground then placed the other on the opposite side so the floor was completely covered. Dean walked over and started to pull the wood back. The sun was now almost all the way down and was getting dark. Dean hear rustling outside and looked to his right, away from the inside of his house. He saw a huge shadow cross his vision very quickly in the distance he couldn't make out what it was though.
A few seconds later he saw an ant with [Worker ant T:2] above it. It was almost the same size as he was. 'Why the hell is everything so huge around here?' As the ant walked by, suddenly something impaled it. The blood of the ant gushed out from it and spilled out onto the ground below it as a screech came out from the ant before quickly stopping completely. Its limbs went still and its eyes lost any sign of life within them. The thing that had impaled it was a long and thin black line. At least from what Dean could see from this distance. Slowly the ant was raised alongside the limb and disappeared into the darkness of the night. Dean quickly shut the door all the way and sat down in the corner of his home. "W-what the hell was that thing," Dean muttered to himself. He felt goosebumps up his back. He had no clue what or who it was. Or if it would try to kill him too. And as of the moment, he was completely alone. With nothing but some rocks as a house.
This was without a doubt not a good day for him.
