Vivian frowned, "You are still young. Being a young man, you are ignorant of the ways of the world and impulsive. If Sean couldn't come to save you as soon as possible, it would be a disaster."
"I feel a deep sense of shame. Everyone knows that she bet Iris that Sean would save him. Moreover, their gauze skirts are wet. What a shame!"
"It makes sense. It is my fault, grandmother. I should let Sean come there first, and then I can bet Iris that Sean must save me. If Sean were there, it would be better."
Obviously, Pearl and Iris set a trap for Catherine. Everyone knew that, but no one would like to help Catherine because they were jealous of her. Sean loves her so much. As for grandmother, she held the same view though Catherine is her daughter-in-law.
