Ben Johnson knew what they were thinking. Is she really so important? They all seemed worried that she would attend the party.
He changed the subject and asked curiously, "It's said that Mr. Morgan is looking for some kind of partnership here in Miami. Do you know much about it?"
Most of the information he got wasn't confirmed, and he had no idea what was true. They looked at each other and reacted as if they had not even heard about it. "I would think it's just rumored."
"Yeah. The Morgans have everything they need. It's unlikely that they need any partners."
They shrugged their shoulders and shook their head, refusing to give out any information they knew. Ben cursed silently. Sly liars. I will just have to find out myself. They won't tell me anything useful at all.
