Curt slapped the desk angrily and shouted after Spencer, "Don't you dare walk out on me! Damn it..." The only response he got was the echoing sound of the slamming shut door.
"Spencer is outraged this time. I shouldn't have accepted the offer." Matt sighed.
Curt could never handle Spencer. They were too alike, both brazen and aloof. "Don't worry about him. He will be fine soon. Have you resigned from the police office yet? Don't forget to hand in the letter to the chief yourself."
"Yes, dad. I will." Matt nodded, still thinking about Spencer and what he said about his mother.
Nathalia was surfing the internet when Spencer returned home. She turned around to see his furious look. "Spencer, what happened? You alright?" She asked worriedly.
Spencer took her hand and said, "Come with me."
