Chereads / Coconut Blue / Chapter 26 - BONUS: Hate Date

Chapter 26 - BONUS: Hate Date

(2 weeks after Blaize and Kal hooked up)

12:00 pm

Blaize lounged on the couch with Kal on top of him, making out while at the same time dialing his brother.

---

Coconut looked up from where he was baking a cake for Blue. He wiped his hands off and picked up his ringing phone, answering the caller who he realized was his brother. "Blaize?"

---

Blue looked up from his homework- he was sitting at the table.

"Hey, big bro." He shoved Kal off of him slightly and turned his head. He swallowed and tried not to be too obvious that he was disheveled even though it sounded like he had just been running. "How are you?" He acted as if it was normal for him to call him every afternoon.

---

Kal growled quietly but only waited patiently until the call would be over.

"Um… good?" Coconut leaned against the counter. "Did your date work out?"

---

"What date? I've got a boyfriend. Hey, speaking of dates, I'd like to invite you and Blue out for a double date. In celebration." He looked at Kal and smirked, knowing he was irritated and loving him for it.

---

Coconut couldn't hide his surprise. "Today?"

---

"Sure, that sounds perfect. I was thinking later tonight at 8:00. How about…" He suggested the same candlelit expensive restaurant Blue and Coconut had eaten at in their casual clothes.

---

"Cool, so… see you there?" Coconut smiled to himself, happy he and his brother were starting to get along better.

---

Blaize's only response was the end of call beep. He dropped his phone and wrapped his arms around Kal's neck, devouring his lips in a kiss.

---

Coconut looked at his phone and then rolled his eyes at his brother's typical rude behavior.

---

"Was that Blaize?" Blue asked, rolling his pencil in his hand.

----

"Yeah. We're going on a double date with him tonight." Coconut set his phone down and went back to baking his cake.

---

"What?" Blue raised his eyebrow, thinking he had heard him wrong. "Um, what?"

---

"We're going on a double date with Blaize." Coconut put the pan in the oven and turned around.

---

"What?" Blue repeated looking utterly surprised. "Uh...a-and why may I ask?"

---

Coconut shrugged. "He said to celebrate, I don't really know."

---

"Coconut! Why did you accept?" Blue looked a little irritated but mostly afraid. "He's obviously setting us up for a....trap or something."

---

Coconut furrowed his brow. "What? No, I accepted because he's my brother and I want to bond again."

---

"Coconut, I doubt-" He remembered what he had told Coconut in the shower a couple of weeks ago. "Well….maybe you're right. It's been a while, maybe he is trying to make peace."

---

"He has a boyfriend now… and I'm pretty sure they were making out before the call. Either that or Blaize just ran a marathon." Coconut rolled his eyes and began cleaning up the bowls and measuring cups from the counter.

---

Blue still didn't have a good feeling about it. "Well...I can't go. I've got homework." He made up an excuse.

---

"It's at 8. You can finish your homework by then." Coconut walked over to him and kissed the skin under his ear. "Don't worry, Angel. I know my brother."

---

"Yeah, well I know him too." Blue reminded him with a groan. "Besides...I have a big project I should catch up on."

---

Coconut stared him down. "I'm not standing up my little brother. Either you come with me or I go by myself."

---

"Fine. I'm coming." Blue said sadly. "I just feel kind of awkward eating with someone who nearly raped me."

----

Coconut's stare softened. "Hey, I won't ever let that happen to you again, okay? You'll be safe with me." He tilted Blue's head up and kissed him gently. "I promise."

---

Blue smiled. "I know. I love you." He kissed him.

---

"I love you too." Coconut grinned at him and then he smelled something burning. "Hey, do you smell that?"

---

Blue raised his eyebrows and then deadpanned him. "You preheated the oven way too high again didn't you? I told you to double check the recipe before starting it!"

---

"Ah! My cake!" Coconut screeched, running over to it and opening the oven, releasing a plume of smoke that sent the fire alarms off.

---

"Coconut! Damn it, not again!" Blue covered his ears.

---

7:30 pm

"So what kind of date is this? A fancy restaurant kind of date? What am I supposed to wear?" He asked after stepping out of the shower and wrapping a towel around himself.

---

"We're going to that one place I took you to on our first date." Coconut walked into his closet and picked out a somewhat nice button-up shirt and some skinny jeans.

---

Blue looked confused as he stood in the doorway of their bathroom, dripping onto the carpet. "The downtown shops?"

---

"No, the restaurant you got drunk at." Coconut got dressed and then looked over at him. He licked his lips. "You almost make me want to skip the date anyway."

---

Blue blushed a cherry color and smiled bashfully. "That was a really nice place. We're definitely not showing up in a sports jersey and sweatshirt again." He stepped toward him and unbuttoned Coconut's shirt even though he had just put it on. "You are not wearing this. Let me pick something out for you. I have something better in mind." His towel dropped as he took his shirt off and turned around to put it back and search for a different one.

---

Coconut bit his lip. "Goddamnit… Angel, put some clothes on before you make me hard."

---

Blue snickered. "Here." He turned around holding a much more flattering dress shirt; a deep red with white lining around the buttons. He put on a puppy dog expression, blushing brightly and then holding the shirt by the sleeves in front of him. He bit into the collar and looked up at him seductively. "Can you wear this for me...pretty please?"

---

"Eh…" Coconut whined. "Put on some clothes then before I ruin it."

---

"Hmph." Blue threw the shirt at him and turned around snootily, disappearing into the closet.

---

Coconut pulled the shirt on and buttoned it, leaving the top ones open. "You done, love?" He asked while running a hand through his wavy hair.

---

Blue left the closet wearing a navy blue dress shirt with silver buttons and long black pants. The shirt was a little big. "I'm wearing your shirt, hope you don't mind." He walked toward the bathroom barefooted, still buttoning.

---

Coconut whined again. "Angel, stop… you're giving me a boner…"

---

"What?" He turned around in confusion. "How? I'm just…" he didn't finish as he stepped into the bathroom and combed his freshly dyed dark blue hair.

---

"You're wearing my clothes. I can't resist you when you're like that."

---

"Mhm." Blue smiled as he leaned over the sink and plucked at an eyebrow with tweezers. "Can you find a belt for me, please? My pants are slipping." He teased him.

---

Coconut bit his lip again and walked into the bathroom. He stalked up behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist. He grinded against him and purred in his ear.

---

Blue had seen him in the mirror but he still made a surprised sound. "Ouch. You made me poke myself." He referred to the metal tweezers he was still using to trim with. "I said find me a belt. Now fetch." He smiled.

---

Coconut whined but sulked away into his closet.

---

Blue finished picking at his eyebrows and preening his face. He turned around and walked into the closet with Coconut. "Have you found one yet?"

---

"...no."

---

Blue rolled his eyes with a small half smile and picked one out for himself. "Help me."

---

"With what?"

---

"My belt, silly." He smiled at him.

---

"Wh-Why can't you do it?" Coconut blushed lightly.

---

Blue raised an eyebrow. "Why are you being so weird? All you have to do is loop it around and tighten." His smile remained.

---

Coconut glared at him. "Then why aren't you doing it?"

---

Blue flinched, hurt. "Uh...sorry. You're right." He bowed his head and did it himself, turning away from him. "Sorry, I was...trying to...I was just…" he tightened, at a loss for words. "I wasn't trying to order you around.

---

Coconut sighed and wrapped his arms around him again, nuzzling into his neck and placing soft kisses over it. "I just don't want to miss our double date with Blaize because I got horny. I wasn't mad, love."

---

"Oh, sorry." Blue was still shaken up, realizing just how much Coconut's snap and hard look had struck him.

---

Coconut pouted and rested his chin on Blue's shoulder. "I was just embarrassed, Angel. You make me get hard so easily…"

---

Blue blushed immensely, but still looked sad. "Come on, we don't want to be late."

---

Coconut didn't let him go. "Angel? What's wrong? Please tell me."

---

Blue shyly looked at him but his eyes shifted away. "I...don't like it when you're mad at me. It's scary."

---

"I'm never mad at you, Angel. I just get a little defensive sometimes, don't ever think I'm mad or upset at you." Coconut kissed his ear and let him go. "Are you ready, love?" He asked softly squeezing Blue's hand.

---

"Yeah." Blue pulled him out of the closet with another blush on his face, feeling better.

---

"Alright then, let's go." Coconut smiled at him fondly and tugged him downstairs.

---

On the way to their double date, Blue told Coconut he really could have used the time to catch up on homework but he reminded him he was going for him. He also warned him about how extremely awkward it was going to be and he hoped Coconut was happy.

---

Coconut parked at the restaurant and smiled at Blue. "Ready, Angel?"

---

Blue stepped out of the car after nodding. "I guess so."

--

Coconut stepped out after him and grabbed his hand, giving it a small squeeze and smiling at him. "Thanks for coming, love."

---

"Yeah, sure. I just hope this goes well." Blue was nervous.

-----

"It'll be fine, Angel." Coconut kissed his head and pulled him toward the restaurant.

---

Inside, Coconut and Blue stated their names to the man behind the podium who had recognized them but didn't say anything about it. They didn't either. They were led to a table in the candlelit vip room Coconut and Blue had eaten in before. Once Blue saw Blaize sitting with Kal, he froze and immediately grabbed Coconut's elbow tightly.

Blaize smiled and waved them over. "Yuno! Blue!"

"Wh- wha- why is Kal here? Don't tell me he's-"

Blaize put his arm around Kal. "Come meet my new boyfriend." He rested his chin on his shoulder.

---

Coconut sucked in a breath and steeled himself as he wrapped an arm around Blue's waist. The way Kal seemed to be so tame made him feel a bit more comfortable as he approached the two.

Kal looked up at them with a hum. "Hello, doe eyes." He looked to Blue next and narrowed his eyes. "Little boy. Hope you don't plan to whack me with a vase."

---

Blue jerked from out of Coconut's hold. "Coconut, are you sure this is a good idea?" He grabbed his hand, ignoring Kal. Then he asked more sympathetically and quietly for Coconut to hear, "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

---

Coconut glanced back at his brother and ex then to Blue. He nodded hesitantly then more strongly. "Yeah."

Kal leaned down and ignored Blue and Coconut, nuzzling into Blaize's hair. "Did you get a new shampoo, sunshine?"

---

"You don't recognize it? It's the one you picked out for me." He turned his head toward him and smiled with low-hanging eyelids.

Blue closed his eyes and grit his teeth, feeling angry annoyance rising within him. "Ok." He forced himself to say and huff. Then he whirled around on Kal. "But if I hear you call him doe eyes again, i'll whack you over the head with something much harder than a vase." He glared at him.

---

Kal ignored him completely. "Your hair is softer than normal too. Keep using it," he mumbled in Blaize's hair.

Coconut put a hand on Blue's shoulder and then sat down across from Blaize, giving him a happy smile. "I'm glad it worked out between you two."

---

Blue sat as well though following after Coconut more cautiously.

Blaize smiled, his arm around Kal's shoulder returning to the table, where his fingers were intertwined. He flashed a grin at Coconut though his eyes did not reflect his happiness, there was something else there that Blue recognized when he proposed to him. A smugness he wanted to beat out of him. "Me too. Me too. If it weren't for you, I'd still be a withering mess."

---

Kal moved his attention from Blaize to Coconut. "Yeah. I agree, doe eyes. Can't thank you enough for setting us up." Kal leaned his head on Blaize's and closed his eyes, just taking in his presence.

Coconut smiled again. "I'm happy you two are happy."

---

Blue glared daggers at Kal, hands curling into fists on his lap. "Hey, I told you-" He decided to let it go seeing how Coconut didn't seem to be affected by it anymore. "Nevermind." He muttered.

The waiter took their orders for drinks and appetizers.

"Blue, I like the contacts." Blaize pointed out.

Surprised at Blaize's noticing, Blue was unsure how to respond since he wasn't behaving his usual jerky self. He couldn't tell if it was all an act like with his parents, if it was he seemed to have become a better actor. He moved with an energy Blue had never picked up from him before. "Uh...yeah...thanks." He looked away, feeling confused, his sourness wearing off.

---

Coconut smiled. "He looks cute, right? Though I think his glasses had a dorky charm." Coconut teased Blue a little, grabbing his hand under the table.

---

Blaize snickered. "True, true, he looks far older without them. He always looked so immature." Blaize's complimenting had improved. A little.

Blue blushed enormously and kicked Coconut with the side of his foot, however, he was attracted to his teasing.

---

Coconut rolled his eyes with a snort. He became kind of awkward and didn't really know what to talk about. "So-I-"

Kal cut him off and lazily complimented him. "You look good, doe eyes. Blue here is lucky to have you." He closed his eyes again and hummed contentedly with a small, sincere smile while he kissed Blaize's head lightly.

---

Blue bunched his pant's fabric in his fists. "Will you please stop calling him that?" He took a different approach.

---

Kal huffed. "No, I'll keep my nicknames, thanks." He then hummed. "Though… I haven't thought of one for you, just yet."

---

Blue grit his teeth so hard you could hear them. He was looking at Kal as if he were planning to murder him. "Seriously, Blaize, this doesn't bother you in the least?"

Blaize smiled amusingly. "At first, yes, but seeing how much it bothers you, no. Not anymore. The nickname will stay." He evilly grinned.

Blue muttered angrily.

---

Coconut sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "You just can't help yourself, can you, Blaize?"

---

"Whatever do you mean?" He teased.

The waiter returned with their appetizers and drinks. Blue busied himself in snacking so he wouldn't have to look at either one of them anymore.

"So what more feats have you accomplished in life since we've last spoken, Coconut? Did you cure a disease this time? Wouldn't be surprised. What about soccer? Still the star of the show? As always…"

---

Coconut smiled, seemingly not aware of his down trodden attitude. "I didn't cure a disease, no, but my most recent art project was purchased for a few million by an art museum. My soccer team made it to the nationals and I've beaten a few pro kickboxers." Coconut picked up a small appetizer and popped it in his mouth. "What about you, little bro?"

---

Blaize couldn't suppress his facial twitches of irritation. He covered it with a giant cheesy smile. "I've found the love of my life. Who, by the way, is far more appealing than Blue ever was to me."

Blue rolled his eyes and shook his head, drowning a tortilla chip in sauce and giving it an ugly look.

----

Coconut frowned at Blue and squeezed his thigh. He smiled back at Blaize. "So I'm guessing you liked bottoming?"

Kal snickered at that. "Liked is an understatement by far."

---

Blue slightly jumped at Coconut's touch and he swallowed quickly as his face reddened the tiniest bit.

Blaize's smile snapped into a glare, his cheeks pinkening as well. "Hah. That's another thing. I know your real intent with pairing us. You wanted to embarrass and break me. Well, that backfired. It only made me stronger."

---

Coconut furrowed his eyebrows. "Huh? Break you? I paired you two up because I know you both had never loved before. That and you'd be able to deal with Kal's… controlling behavior."

Kal looked up at him blankly and said nothing.

---

Blaize rolled his eyes with a groan. "Save your lies. I know what you were doing but it doesn't matter anyway. And I have no idea what you're talking about when you say controlling." Blaize hugged Kal's arm and leaned into him. "He isn't controlling, he's…" He didn't finish because he knew Kal was controlling but he didn't want to admit he liked that.

---

Coconut snorted in laughter. "Rough?" Then he calmed down and gave Blaize a gentle smile. "Blaize… I'm not lying. I just want you to be happy. You're my little brother, and I care about you. I just wish you'd see that I'm telling the truth."

---

"Alright then. If you are telling the truth, you've got a shitty way of telling it." He growled.

Blue scowled at Blaize. "Blaize. He doesn't have any hidden intentions." He said quietly but firmly.

---

Kal watched Coconut droop like a scolded puppy and pushed Blaize's bangs out of his face so he could kiss his forehead. "He isn't lying, sunshine," Kal whispered in his ear.

---

Blaize took a breath and lessened his angry stare. "Sorry." He hissed.

The waiter bothered them about what they were planning on eating and picked up on the tense energy, feeling a little awkward himself. He quickly noted their orders and left. Blue had remembered to ask not to pepper his meal.

"I don't exactly remember what your career choice was, Blaize?" Blue spoke up calmly, trying to change the mood.

"That's because I don't have one." He sighed, twisting one of the many rings on his hand. "However, I have applied for several modeling opportunities. I've become interested ever since a class I took."

"That suits you."

Blaize shot him a look, unsure if that was meant as an insult. By Blue's behavior, it didn't seem so.

---

Coconut smiled at Blaize. "He's right. I think you'll do great in that field."

Kal, once again ignoring almost all conversation at the table, leaned over to Blaize's ear and whispered huskily in it. "You'd make an amazing nude model too, sunshine."

---

Blaize snickered and blushed at his flirt, rubbing his face and putting his elbows on the table and leading against him.

"Everything is good between you two? Really?" Blue checked, asking Kal and Blaize.

"Better than your small mind could imagine, pipsqueak." Blaize grinned.

Blue made a face at him.

---

Coconut squeezed Blue's thigh to try and calm him down.

Kal slipped and arm around him and leaned in his head again.

---

Blue blushed and looked at Coconut, confused about why he was doing that. "Well that's great. I'm happy for you." He said stiffly when he couldn't meet Coconut's eye.

----

Coconut put an arm around Blue's shoulders and smiled. "So I guess everything worked out in the end."

---

Blaize snorted and rolled his eyes. "Sure." He was still terribly jealous of his brother.

---

Coconut looked at him in concern. "Is there still something wrong?"

Kal scoffed at Coconut's caring nature.

---

"No." He smiled.

The waiter returned with their food and Blue sighed in relief as he ate.

---

Coconut ate silently, shifting awkwardly and not knowing what to talk about.

---

"So then…." Blue started slowly, picking at his meal with a fork. "What was your first date like?"

Blaize didn't hear him, he was looking at Kal and waiting for his reaction to his foot rubbing against his leg.

---

Kal gave Blaize a warning look and then looked at Blue. "We went to a club," he said blandly.

---

"Not a surprise." Blue muttered.

Blaize shot Blue a look as he lowered his hands beneath the table and walked them along Kal's thigh. "It was fun." He said simply.

"I'm sure." Blue said with a roll of his eyes while eating.

---

Kal grit his teeth and grabbed Blaize's wrist not-so-nicely. "By fun he means flirting and dancing with other guys until I had to show him who he belonged to by fucking him against the wall of the bathroom."

---

Blue choked.

Blaize reddened and angered his gaze, turning on Kal and yanking his hand away and crossing his arms. "Like I said, fun." He smirked meanly.

---

Kal rolled his eyes, still turning the tables on Blaize. He snuck a hand down to Blaize's lap and wasted no time in palming his crotch roughly.

---

Blaize cleared his throat shortly, taking a deep breath through his nostrils and started eating again.

"Ok." Blue decided he should have known. He didn't know about what was happening beneath the table but he should have expected that behavior as well if he knew Blaize.

---

Kal daringly slipped his hand into Blaize's boxers and grabbed onto his length, trying to suppress his smirk.

Coconut just ignored the both of them and continued eating.

---

Blaize's face reddened but he controlled his facial expressions, pretending nothing was happening.

Blue asked, "what is it you like so much about Blaize, Kal? Just curious."

"Because you never saw anything in me." Blaize spat at him and bit his lip and busied himself with eating.

---

Kal started rubbing Blaize up and down while he answered. "I like how he's a wild animal that needs to be tamed," Kal purred, looking at Blaize lustfully.

---

Blaize looked back up at him pleadingly, blinking slowly as he pulled off his fork seductively.

"Ok." Blue said again, feeling awkward again and looking back at his food.

---

Kal bared his teeth at him and poked the tip of his length with his thumb, rubbing in circles around the top of it.

Coconut pursed his lips and started to regret pairing these two insatiable beasts together.

---

Blaize grit his teeth and exhaled shaking, slowly cutting his meat, eyes glassy.

Blue's ring was a little big on him. It slipped off and bounced under the table. "Shit." He cursed and then moved off his chair and crept under the table to find it. As he was picking it up, his eyes widened and he hit his head as he was crawling out from under. "Ouch." He rubbed his head and stared at Kal and Blaize in surprise.

---

Kal ignored the fact that Blue would probably see his hand in Blaize's pants. He couldn't care less. He sped up his hand and squeezed Blaize tightly in his grip.

---

Blaize was threatening to spill. He made a face and scooted back in his chair. He pulled Kal's hand out of his pants and then zipped himself up. "Excuse me." He smiled and stood from his chair, exiting the room for the restroom.

Blue's face was a bright color as he shoveled food into his mouth and avoided all eye contact.

---

Kal watched Blaize leave and then excused himself to follow him.

Coconut deadpanned at the two empty seats.

---

Blue nudged Coconut with his elbow, still red in the face. "Coconut they were…" he whispered, raising his eyebrows.

---

"I know." Coconut kept eating. "I don't understand why you're so surprised."

---

Blue shivered. "I want to get out of here, this is really uncomfortable."

----

"I… I don't know, Angel…" Coconut scratched his neck.

---

"We won't ditch but as soon as they come back, or if they come back, we'll pay and then leave. We'll just say we're done eating." He twisted his ring back onto his finger.

---

"Alright…" Coconut continued eating, disappointed that it was so much harder to bond with his little brother now that they were older.

---

About ten minutes later, Blaize returned with a smile. "Sorry about that." He sat and returned to eating.

---

Coconut forced a smile. "No, you're fine."

Kal walked back up to the table as well and sat down without a word.

---

Blue clenched his fork and huffed. He called a waiter and asked for the check.

"Leaving so soon?" Blaize gave blue an evil smirk with a raise of his eyebrows.

Blue didn't pay him attention, waiting for Coconut to write the check.

---

Coconut quickly signed off on the check and slid it to the edge of the table. "It was… uh… wonderful to get along with you again."

---

"Yes it was." Blaize smiled.

Blue stood and grabbed Coconut's arm. "We'll be going." He didn't bother giving them a polite smile or anything because he had hated the entire dinner.

---

"Bye," Coconut said awkwardly to the both of them, standing up with Blue.

---

Blue pulled him out of the restaurant quickly. As soon as they were alone in their car, he gagged and put a hand to his face, leaning backward into the seat. "That was awful."

---

"It wasn't… that bad." Coconut started the car.

---

Blue growled. "Blaize is a passive aggressive drama queen and Kal is an intimidating control freak. If their relationship slips up, they're going to literally kill each other."

---

Coconut shrugged with a cringe. "Well… yeah, but if Blaize slips up… Kal will probably "punish" him more than anything. And if Kal messes up, Blaize will probably ignore him until Kal and him have angry make-up sex."

---

Blue felt sick. "Maybe they are perfect for each other." He sighed. "For them, everything is about sex. It's unhealthy."

---

"It's the only way they know how to love, Blue. As long as they know they love each other, then it's not unhealthy."

---

Blue furrowed his brow and folded his arms. "I guess so….I'm glad we aren't like that."

----

Coconut snorted. "Yeah. I paired them with each other because I knew they could handle the other… and mostly because neither of them is scared of anything." He rolled his eyes.

---

"Well, we can't have sex tonight. Hope you're happy."

----

Coconut gave him a confused look. "Um. Okay?"

---

"I have to finish my project, I'll probably be up late." He said in disappointment.

---

"Do you need help?" Coconut started to drive back to his mansion.

---

"Yes." Blue sighed.

---

Coconut smiled and asked more about his project as he continued the drive home.

---
