'Mei.' A voice was calling.
The sharp pain inside his heart was still there. Mei slowly opened his eyes. The blurred sight was gone now. He got up. The whole body was stained with blood. The shirt. His hands as well. The hands were filled with blood.
'Hey! Why are you still there?' Kinari was stunned to see him sitting there.
'Ma...what is all…' Mei couldn't comprehend why his mother was troubled like that.
'I lost my consciousness for a moment.' The voice was not his.
It sounded like the voice of a girl. He touched his throat.
Mei looked at the side carefully. They were standing in some kind of woods. From not so far away, some noise was getting closer. Some kind of search party was looking for someone.
'The humans are looking for you. Go! Run to them now!' Kinari screams.
'Humans?' Mei mumbled as he was not at all aware of what was going on suddenly.
