'Why didn't you take him back?' Lycus was taken aback by Mei's sudden question. His expression betrays the inner anguish he was going through on his own.
Lycus says, 'He is not something that I should be claiming,' as he turns away.
'Of course he was, he was your husband after all.' Mei asked Lycus again, 'Are you really letting him go?'
Lycus's gaze flutters. 'How on earth could you...Nobody is aware of this other than…'
'I am aware.' Mei gave a nod, 'I need to know. Because he is someone my uncle is in love with.'
'He is dead now. How can I have him now?!' Lycus was regretting his decision.
'If he were alive…would you separate them?' Mei's intention was to make sure there is no love triangle.
'I can't claim my marriage like others. It's complicated.' Lycus sighs.
The wounds were still fresh with the horrifying memories. Lycus touches his left arm as if it was hurting.
