Chiharu Akui: "The day Yasuo's words cut me from his life and the day I helped a man become what he is today"
*Start of Flashback*
Year: 2009
Location: Osaka, Kamagasaki, Afternoon, Sunny
Akui Narrating: "After being questioned by the police of my mother's murder. I was taken back to the waiting room hoping to talk with Yasuo a bit longer but when me and the officer who escorted me entered the room."
Akui Narrating: "Yasuo was gone."
Akui Narrating: The police assumed that he must've overheard them having talks about taking him to a foster care
Akui Narrating: "I thought I'd never see him again"
Akui: Narrating: "I was heavily protected at my family's residents and wasn't allowed to go outside until it was safe for me."
2 years later…
Location: Tokyo, Akihabara, Afternoon, Sunny
Akui Narrating: "Couple years passed and I was allowed by my Grandfather to go out again, but with bodyguards of course."
Akui Narrating: "I begged to go back to Osaka to see if I'd possibly find Yasuo there again but the guards were ordered to never take back to place. Which was reasonable."
Akui Narrating: "So, I asked if I could go to Akihabara to get a manga volume set "Baker's Fantasy" that I wanted for a long time."
Akui and her three bodyguards stood outside in front of an entrance to manga and toy shop. With huge crowds of people walking by them, like a massive horde.
Bodyguard #1: "You wanna go in here, Tokomoki-san?"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Yes" (she replied)
Bodyguard #1: "ok"
The bodyguard looked to his associate watching for anyone being suspicious.
Bodyguard #1: "you, go with her and buy what she wants" (he ordered)
Bodyguard #2: "what?! why me?" (He nagged)
Bodyguard #1: "Because you're the rookie and you need the practice"
Bodyguard #1: "Now take her, before I break your arm" (He threatened)
The rookie hesitates a bit but quickly reminds himself of his position within the family.
Bodyguard #2: "Okay Okay, I'll go"
Sayuri and the rookie bodyguard enter the shop together. Lots of people were inside the shop buying the latest manga and their waifu figurines to take back home with.
Bodyguard #2: "So where is the manga you wanted to buy miss-"
Sayuri was already gone searching for the manga set she wanted. Without the rookie realising.
Bodyguard #2: "ah crap" (he worried)
Further into the shop. Sayuri was walking down the aisle where they would be selling manga sets. As she kept looking and going pass people to find what she wanted.
She looked ahead of the aisle and saw there was a stand presenting the new release of the Baker's Family manga set. Sayuri proceeded to approach the stand and raised her hand out to grab the set she first saw.
Then Suddenly, the hand of another person grabbed onto the same set as well. Surprised. Sayuri looked to her right to see the person who hand was on it.
The pink hair, the blue-sky eyes and the same look of not being interested in anything at all. It was the one person she wished to see once more. Yasuo.
The more surprise was he was still wearing the same jacket he had on two years ago, but it was clean and patched up. Even more, Yasuo was clean himself, he didn't look like a street kid he once was anymore.
Yasuo Kyoya: "Oh, it's you again"
As per usual, Yasuo was not someone that cared for anything and just minding his own business. Sayuri was still shocked by the fact that he was right there standing next to her.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "What are you doing here in Tokyo?" (She in shock)
Yasuo Kyoya: "Uh, I live here now" (Yasuo confused by that question)
Sayuri Tokomoki: "You left without saying bye"
Yasuo Kyoya: "There was no way I was going to stay in an orphanage"
Yasuo Kyoya: "So, I took my opportunity and left"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "But-"
"Yasuo!"
"Tokomoki-san!"
Both their names were called by two people approaching towards them. The rookie who is supposed to watch Sayuri and an old man who seems to know Yasuo.
Old man: "Did you manage to find the set?"
The rookie held onto Sayuri by her shoulders and looked at with a scared look.
Bodyguard #2: "Miss Tokomoki, please don't walk off on your own like that" (He begged)
They all looked at each other in awkwardness.
Old man: "And who may you two be?"
Yasuo Kyoya: "This is the girl I talked about from before Sensei"
Yasuo Kyoya: "From my time in Osaka"
Yasuo Kyoya: "But I don't know who this man is"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "He is my guardian"
Bodyguard #2: "Guardian, eh?" (Embarrassed)
The rookie scratched the back of his head out of embarrassment and happy from Sayuri's praise.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "But this man is your sensei?" (she asked)
Old man: "I've told him many times to not call me that but he just doesn't listen"
Sasho Takashima: "I'm Takashima Sasho"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Nice to meet you, I'm Tokomoki Sayuri"
Sasho Takashima: "Ah, what a wonderful name"
"Ah-hem"
The rookie faked a cough to get their attention.
Tetsu Akui: "And I'm Akui Tetsu"
They completely ignore Nagashima as if he wasn't there and continued their conversation.
Yasuo Kyoya: "Anyway we should head back Sensei, I want to try use as much reference as I can from Katsugiri-san's art style."
Tetsu in the background: "harsh, much?" (He said depressingly)
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Reference?" (She questioned)
Sayuri stepped closer to Yasuo.
Yasuo felt a bit of anxiety as Sayuri stepped closer to him. Her face said it all that she was extremely intrigued by what she had just learned about Yasuo.
Yasuo Kyoya: "Yea, to improve on drawing and finding my style" (He said whilst creeped out)
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Ehhh?! you draw?!" (Amazed)
Sayuri stepped even closer into Yasuo's personal space.
Yasuo Kyoya: "Yes! now move back a bit"
Yasuo tries pushing Sayuri back away from him, for personal space.
Sasho Takashima: *giggles*
Yasuo and Sayuri both looked at Sasho-sensei giggling away at them getting along with each other.
Sasho Takashima: "My, the youth never stop to amaze me at all"
Sasho Takashima: "Tell you what, why not come visit Yasuo at Go Go Manga sometime often?"
Yasuo Kyoya: "Hey sensei!" (He screeched)
Sasho pets Yasuo on the head, whilst talking to Sayuri.
Sasho Takashima: "This boy never knows when to take a break for once"
Sasho Takashima: "Maybe you could hang out with me, so he can stop overworking himself"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "I'd love to" (She beamed)
Tetsu Akui: "Tokomoki-san I don't think your grandfather will allow this"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "You've seen them and know they aren't bad people"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "You can help me convince him, please?"
She looked into Tetsu's eyes with a face of pure innocence that was too hard to say no to.
Tetsu Nagashima: "I will try, that's all I can say"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Thank you, Guardian!" (She said happily)
After they both bought their set of Baker's Fantasy volumes. They were all outside at the entrance of the shop. Yasuo and Sasho-sensei waved goodbye to Sayuri and Tetsu then made their way to their next destination.
Bodyguard #1: "Christ, rookie you seriously made us wait this long for a play date?
Tetsu turned around to speak with his associate"
Tetsu Akui: "She said she knew him from Osaka"
Tetsu Akui: "Apparently, he saved her from those kidnappers years back"
Bodyguard 1 smokes a cigarette before speaking again.
Bodyguard #1: *sigh* "Well hopefully the boss doesn't end up wanting them dead"
Tetsu Akui: "Dead?" (Tetsu said in shock)
Bodyguard #1: "Don't forget who we are a rookie and who we work for"
Tetsu looks back at Sayuri still waving goodbye to Yasuo and Sasho who were quite far from them now.
Bodyguard #1: "You try fit one thing into your life, another thing will come back out��� (He said)
Bodyguard #1: "Remember that, rookie"
Bodyguard 1 walks up to Sayuri.
Bodyguard #1: "It's time to go back Tokomoki-san"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "ok" (She muttered)
Sayuri starts walking along with Bodyguard 1 and 3 on their way back home while Tetsu was still in thought about what his associate had said to him.
Bodyguard #1: "Rookie, you coming?"
Tetsu Akui: "Y-Yea" (he replied)
Tetsu caught up with the three of them and walked together on their way back.
Akui Narrating: Since reuniting with Yasuo. With the help of Tetsu-san, I was able to convince my grandfather to let me see Yasuo regularly at Go Go Manga.
Akui Narrating: Things were quite tense at the start since I always had a bodyguard having to watch over me. Even when I had to go to the bathroom they would wait outside of the doorway and memorize who went in and out if anything were to happen to me.
Akui Narrating: But getting closer to Yasuo changed me. I found drawing and making manga as a favourite hobby because of him.
Akui Narrating: That's when slowly my feelings for him began to take shape. Whenever we made eye contact, I would always blush up and try to hide away my shyness.
Akui Narrating: Then my feelings towards Yasuo were known to my grandfather.
Location: Tokyo, Tokomoki Hideout
Sayuri was called to meet with her grandfather in his room. There were no bodyguards as there usually were.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "You called for me, grandfather?" (She asked)
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Sit Sayuri"
As told. Sayuri knelt into a seiza position on a pillow near her grandfather's table. Tanjiro looked down upon his granddaughter across the table with concern she could barely even look at him in the eye.
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "You've been going out to see this boy for a while now"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "What is he to you?"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Someone who I can look up to, when things get dark at times" (She uttered)
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Is that so?"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Tell me, what does this boy do in his spare time?"
Sayuri realised what her grandfather was trying to get and reacted immediately.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "He isn't what yo-"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "What does he do?" (He asked slowly)
She backed down after being put in her place.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "He is working his on to become a Mangaka"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "He currently lives with his Sensei"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Sasho"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Sasho huh?"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "You know each other?"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "We go way back"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Sayuri, you no longer should go see that boy"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "But grandfather he isn't a bad person!" (She yelled)
Tanjiro slammed his hand on the table. To get Sayuri to be quiet.
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "We are a family that has had to uphold their honour for many generations"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "We have lost more than what we try to bring into our family"
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Sayuri, your love for this boy will only hurt the both of you" (He threatened)
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Do you wish for that?"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "STOP IT!" (She screamed)
Tanjiro was disappointed by her reaction. She was always so innocent towards everyone in the Yakuza but after meeting Yasuo she finally wanted to take things even further for the first time in her life.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "For once in your life"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Can you accept that I'm not like any of you here?" (She cried)
Tears began running down her face constantly like overflowing river. She kept trying to wipe them away, but they just kept on coming and coming. She wasn't like her mother or her father at all. She was only a child.
Tanjiro got up from his seat and made his way towards the door without batting an eye to the emotional Sayuri. He just proceeded through the doorway and left her crying in the room.
As he came in through the doorway, he caught Tetsu eavesdropping on their conversation. Tetsu tried his best to make it look he had just made his way there.
Tetsu Akui: "How are you, boss?" (He said nervously)
Tanjiro Tokomoki: "Come with me Tetsu, I have a job for you"
As told he followed his boss down the hallway of the house as they were about the discuss his next job.
2 days later...
Akui Narrating: I was getting ready to go out to see Yasuo again at Go Go Manga, but today was oddly different. Tetsu was my bodyguard but he is usually assigned to go out to do things for the family.
Tetsu Akui: "You ready to go? Tokomoki-san" (He asked)
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Yes" (She beamed)
Akui Narrating: We both got into the car and began heading to Go Go Manga. What I found strange before leaving was that I didn't see any of the guards that were usually on look out at the premises.
Akui Narrating: I was a kid back then, so I didn't think much of it and was just waiting to meet Yasuo again.
Location: Tokyo, Go Go Manga, Sunny
Akui Narrating: As soon as we got there. Tetsu helped me get drawings I had done back at the house piled up together for me before I went into the building.
Akui Narrating: Tetsu already knew they were good people, so he felt there wasn't really any need to follow me around.
Sayuri made it past the reception before making her way to the elevators.
Akui Narrating: As I was walking towards an opening elevator, a man taller than me came out as the doors opened and bumped into me. I dropped all my drawings. They were scattered all over the place.
Sayuri fell to the floor as she bumped into the man dropping all the drawings she made. She looked up and saw the face of the man and he was really angry at her.
Angry Man: "Hey! what do you think you are doing?"
Immediately the man's demeanour scared the hell out of Sayuri and she quickly got herself back up and bowed.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "I'm sorry" (she pleaded)
Angry Man: "Well f*cking great" (he said)
Angry Man: "This is why I hate kids"
Sayuri began picking up her scattered drawings as the man looked down on her watching her quickly shuffling around to collect all the papers.
Whilst collecting her drawings. The man saw one piece of paper that caught his eye. He knelt down and grabbed the paper.
Angry Man: "What is this?"
He flipped the paper around and to his shock. He couldn't believe what he was looking at but at the same time he was amused with what he was holding onto.
Angry Man: "Oh my god" (he smirked)
Angry Man: "I can finally become reach my destiny"
After collecting all the drawings scattered. Sayuri saw the man holding onto a paper she thought was one of her drawings.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Can I have that drawing back?"
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Please?"
From her reaction. The man realised she doesn't know what this paper actually was and became even more amused.
Angry Man: "This is really an amazing drawing, you would make a great artist someday"
Angry Man: "I may even hire you" (he said sarcastically)
Sayuri beets red from the compliments she was receiving and wiggling around out of embarrassment.
Sayuri Tokomoki: "Thank you sir" (she said)
Angry Man: "Let's show this to Yasuo-kun together, shall we?"
After taking the elevator to the third floor of the building. Both the man and Sayuri approached Sasho-sensei and Yasuo at their workstation currently just them two on the third floor.
Angry Man: "Hello my two favourite Mangaka" (Sarcastically said)
They both turned to look at the man and were surprised that Sayuri was with him.
Yasuo Kyoya: "Why are you with this idiot?" (Yasuo questioned)
Angry Man: "Oh, but this idiot just wanted to say"
Angry Man: "Congratulations to our newly-weds"
Sasho & Yasuo: "What?"
The angry man reveals the paper he was holding onto from when he picked it up and shows the context that it had to the three of them.
The paper turned out to be a documented Marriage Certificate with both Yasuo and Sayuri's name on it. Everyone in the room was shocked. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
Sasho Takashima: "What kind of sick is this Kantaro?" (He demanded)
Kantaro Kamiya: "I should be the one asking you that, sensei" (He smirked)
Kantaro Kamiya: "You see I knew you were a scumbag, but oh wow"
Kantaro Kamiya: "Under age marriage arrangement?"
Kantaro couldn't stop enjoying every moment of this happening as he has despised Sasho-sensei for the longest time now.
Kantaro Kamiya: "I wonder what will happen when the media finds out that a well-known Mangaka is doing pedo acts like this to a boy he picked up from the streets?"
Yasuo Kyoya: "You bastard!" (He yelled)
Sayuri was completely shocked with what was happening. She had no idea about having that certificate on her at all. All she could do was just as everything unfolded.
She saw the look on Yasuo's face, and he was not happy at all. Yasuo quickly charged at Kantaro to try get the paper off him but Kantaro smacks Yasuo across the face and pushes him back to Sasho-sensei.
Kantaro Kamiya: "Now now, no need to be embarrassed about being married now, Yasuo-kun"
Kantaro kneels behind Sayuri as he looks at Yasuo dead in the eyes.
Kantaro Kamiya: "You should embrace having a wife. It's a one of the best blessings in life"
Sasho: "Alright! Enough of this" (He yelled)
Sasho: "I'll do whatever you want"
Kantaro Kamiya: "oh sensei, you always cared for others so much" (He said sarcastically)
Kantaro approached Sasho-sensei and got right up in his face. Being cocky knowing at full well that he was in the advantage of all this. He waves the certificate to brag his dominance.
Kantaro Kamiya: "if only you were like that with me"
Exposing this marriage certificate and with people finding out Yasuo was homeless would make Sasho-sensei look like he is a disgusting creep who making kids to roleplay.
Kantaro Kamiya: "Now tell Genichi-san to serialize my manga"
Sasho deep down didn't want to give into Kantaro's influence. But he knew how well Keitaro is able to influence people, especially the media.
At the current age he is. He just wishes to have peace for the rest of his life, and this would destroy everything he has done up to this point in life.
His biggest downfall was taking Keitaro into the manga industry in the first place. But there was no choice left for Sasho-sensei to make.
Sasho: "I will do it"
Yasuo Kyoya: "Sensei!" (He yelled)
Kantaro Kamiya: "Good" (Satisfied with the response)
Keitaro: "Well, I'm gonna go home now and be expecting my phone call soon"
Kantaro turned his back away from Sasho and started making his way to the elevator. As he entered inside, he looked once more at the three of them with the biggest smile on his face.
Kantaro Kamiya: "See ya"
The elevator doors closed and that was the last they saw of Kantaro along with the certificate holding them all at their throats.
