[Mlande Pov]
Death... That was all they saw when they saw the darkened sky. If the arrows were aimed at the frontline, heavy infantry they might have stood a chance, but no. The arrows flew passed the heavy infantry and smashed right into the backline of the army. Archers, mages, and healers got hit by the arrows.
At least 10,000 dead in just one volley, mostly common infantry but this was still devastating. Not to mention that many of the ones hit were the ones with the most offensive power in a battlefield, the mages.
After that one volley, the elves didn't shoot anymore but were ready to shoot again, when ordered. I never wanted to slaughter the army, the soldiers are following orders, the mages and healers were mostly students. I may be too merciful, but I had the elves that aimed the furthest back, use blunt arrows. While these could still kill if hit in the right spot, it would mostly break a part of the body it landed on. Well, more like smash the body part.
Students, thrown into war due to the greed and stupidity of nobles and royalty does not deserve a cruel death in the battlefield. The Emperor's word is law in the empire, so every single person on this battlefield are practically forced to be there. I can tell that there are still many that want to be there, many mages are eager to test their spells on the battlefield, many healers are excited to get some field experience.
If they continue their charge now, I will not show mercy. As soon as they engage, the elves will also charge, and with my maxed level healing skills, no elf will die. The commanders and nobles will be taken out from the shadow, by Mythi, the Fenrir, and her pack.
As the army is in disarray at the sudden attack and the increased amount of elves that suddenly arrived on the battlefield. Most soldiers just wanted to go back home to their family, they saw no way of winning this. The elves didn't even fire anymore during the panic, which even more showed that they had no chance, to begin with. Most healers were just nuns or priests in the temples that just wanted to do their duty and heal the sick but were forced into a brutal battlefield, they just wanted to return to their piece and quite. The mages just wanted to return to their studies and not step another foot on a battlefield like this.
I stay silent as I don't want to seem provocative when I ask them to surrender. I will let the Emperor make his decision. I still want the elves to gain experience in battle, and so I will let them fight, but I will stop the battle when I got the people I want in custody. No need for the senseless killing, as a creator of life, every needless death hurts. People die all the time, but there is no need for battles such as this.

[The Emperor's Pov]
The Emperor looked in rage as the rest of the elves showed themselves. He wanted nothing more than to kill them all and be rid of that disgusting race! How dare they believe that they're better than humans!? We are the dominant race in this world and I will show them why!
"Continue the charge! Kill those filthy creatures and send them all to hell!" I scream my order to everyone. I walk back into my tent and walk over to a locked chest. I take out the key that's hanging from my neck and unlock it. Inside is a blood-red crystal, the size of a human head.

[Mlande Pov]
Stupid! Idiot! Moron! How can he possibly be a ruler, sending his subjects to their deaths!?
I'm furious now! How did such sick and pathetic man become an emperor of such a big empire! Asea, already knowing what to do, orders the elves to get in position and get ready to receive the enemy charge. Due to the wards around them, they did not have to worry about arrows or magic being thrown at them, I wanted them to experience close combat.
I hate this feeling. I hate it. I can feel the death of the soldiers on the battlefield. I can feel their sorrow of not seeing their family again. I can feel the regret of joining the army. I can feel their pain as they bleed out on the ground. I hate this! I want it to stop! It has to stop! STOP! PLEASE, JUST STOP THIS KILLING!

[Seb Pov]
Seb was standing behind his lord as usual as he watched the battlefield. Proud to see the elven warriors effortlessly kill their enemies. But after over 30 minutes of a one-sided battle he feels the turmoil in his lord. He looks down at him, as he is currently in his original form. What he saw shocked him.
His usual green and calming eyes were turning light blue and tears were flowing out of them as he looked at the battlefield in total anguish. Seb got afraid, what was wrong with him? Before he could ask him, he felt an overwhelming power overtake the entire battlefield. Seb always knew he was very powerful, stronger than all the guardians combined. He often wondered if his power was close to his lords, but this feeling. This feeling threw that thought out of the window.
The entire battlefield came to a stop and nobody could move. Not even Seb could move an inch of his body.

[3rd pov]
The entire battlefield came to a stop and everyone looked around in a panic with their eyes because that was the only thing they could move. The humans saw that even the elves couldn't move.
"Please... Just... stop!" Everyone heard the voice, it sounded weak and you could hear the sorrow in the voice. Who was it, why was he so sad? The elves recognized the voice though, it was that of their god.
"End this! End this now! No more needless deaths! You've all got a family to go back to!" The voice said with a bit more vigor, but still in a very sad voice.
The power that held everyone disappeared and everyone looked around, checking their bodies before looking at their enemies with conflicted feelings.
It only took a few seconds for the elves to order a retreat to the border. The humans looked at each other before they seemingly came to a decision. They all sheathed their weapons, started collecting the bodies of their comrades and healers rushed forwards to heal the ones that could be saved, only to see all the wounds already fully healed.
"YOU FILTHY MONGRELS WILL DIE TODAY!" A booming and demonic voice screamed out from the back of the human army.
The emperor was no longer human. He was over 10 meters tall with horns in his head.
"KILL EVERYONE! ANY DESERTERS WILL DIE!" The voice screamed. The army all got scared and many cried as they drew their swords again and turned towards the elves. Most had tears in their eyes, they also wanted to stop. But they had to obey, to see their family again.
Just as the demon emperor charged up a massive ball of hellfire to shoot towards the elves, the entire right side of the demon seemingly vanished and black blood started squirting out of the rest of the demon. The demon emperor screamed in pain as he fell to his knees but did not get the chance to say anything as his head got blasted off. Nobody saw what happened.
"Now, your emperor is dead, your prince is in our custody, please! Stop now!" They heard the voice again, but this time they heard where it can from and could see the ent-like humanoid that everyone had come to understand, were the god that the elves worship, and that god had tears flowing out of its eyes.
With the aura of the god, being unknowingly shared on the battlefield, everyone felt the same thing that Mlande felt at the moment. Both human and elf started wailing in the grief of the extreme amount of sadness they felt. The battlefield turned from bloody and deadly into a battlefield of tears.
It took 20 minutes before the aura disappeared and everyone was weak. The humans påcked up, and without orders, started the march back home. Even the nobles said nothing as they packed their stuff up and got ready to leave. This battle will forever be known as 'The Battlefield of Tears' and will be told in history lessons in the future.

[Mlande Pov]
Seb stood behind me and looked down in shame, as he felt he could do nothing to help me. Asea was hugging me from behind and crying. Lilias was hugging my neck and crying. Mythi was rubbing her snout on my chest as she wined every now and then.
The feeling was slowly disappearing. I had no idea that I had the power to feel the passing souls' emotions. I was not ready for it, and I never want to feel that way again. I had made plans to make the army retreat and then march on the capital with all available elven warriors, over 2 million, as a show of strength. But without an emperor or his prince, the empire will most likely die soon. Many countries will take this moment to invade.
I don't want to care anymore. I hope everyone can see this coming and prepare to flee. Any human that tried to get in my domain were welcome, if they had good intentions, I will feel that the second they step into my domain.
"I'm tired," I simply state as I'm truly mentally tired. I have never had the need to sleep since coming to this world, but now I feel like a long sleep would be nice. I don't know if even can sleep, but I can at least lie down and close my eyes.
"Let's go home, okay?" I said as I rubbed Mythi's snout and held Asea's hands that were around my waist as she was still hugging me from behind.

We arrived back in Yggdrasil and the guardians refused to leave me alone, they knew how I was feeling. I can't deny that having such loving children is a good feeling. I smile as I the feeling of the battle had disappeared and the love from my children filled me instead, I will protect this feeling. I will do anything to keep them this loving and happy. Even if I have to take the whole world as my enemy.
