"Hey! Sorry about that," Ben apologized to Bella the moment he walked into one of the toilet stalls in the restaurant. That was the only way he knew he could get the privacy he needed to talk to Bella. Luckily most Patrons at the restaurant have no need to use the toilet, apart from those who stop by to use the toilet, pretending like they want to get something to eat.
"Nevermind. I know how she can be," Bella said dismissively.
"So what 'she' were you talking to her about?" Ben asked curiously.
"I'm in a fix. I'll need someone to stay at the house. You'll have to help me keep an eye on her," Bella pleaded.
"You know how much I love to keep an eye on hers, don't you?" Ben asked jocularly, wiggling his brows like she could see him.
"I'm being serious, Ben," Bella said in a chiding tone before going on to brief Ben on how she had met Nicole in the cab and how Nicole had blackmailed her into hiding her from her parents and Dan.
