"I don't know what you're talking about. I should go check on the muffins," Bella said as she pushed Joan off and headed for the kitchen while Joan and Dan followed her.
"He likes you, I promise," Joan said in a conspiratorial whisper, making Dan chuckle. Joan had such a sweet personality. How did she end up dating someone as foul-tempered as Ben?
"So, how was the drive down here?" Dan asked Joan politely.
"Honestly? I don't know. I was just in a hurry to get here and see the famous glass mansion and its owner," Joan said with a shy smile, making Dan chuckle again.
"I'm a really huge fan of yours, and you have no idea how happy I am to be here. I'm hoping I can ask you some personal questions," Joan said, her eyes shining with excitement.
This was obviously a true fan, "I hope Ben told you cameras are not allowed in my home?" Dan asked as he held out one of the chairs for her to sit on before returning to his seat.
