Nicole decided to drop by Dan's bedroom so they could both go down for breakfast together.
"Dan, are you in there?" She called, and Dan didn't need anyone to tell him that it was Nicole, so he opened the door to let her in.
"Are you just entering your room?" Nicole asked when she took note of the very tidy bed.
"Yeah. Couldn't make it back in time last night," Dan said easily since he didn't see any need to lie to her.
"Where did you hurry off to?" Nicole asked with interest.
"I will tell you about it when I think the time is right," Dan promised, and Nicole sighed as she looked around the bedroom.
"Seems like ages since I last came in here," Nicole said dramatically, and Dan smiled in amusement.
"Quit being a drama queen. How are you and how is the task I gave you? Did you do as I asked? Did you observe anything weird?" Dan asked, eager to hear about Nicole's findings.
