Once the clock struck midnight, the King opened the door to his chamber and joined them inside, "I just confirmed that Ian is in his chamber, and he is fast asleep. You can come out now," The king whispered to both Dan and Bella, who were staring at him eagerly. They had been bored out of their mind while waiting for the time to go quickly. They couldn't help wondering how much time had passed since they fell asleep.
"You both can easily get to the stables through the back door. Take the stairs and go down. I'm sure the smell from the direction of the stables will guide you. I take it you can ride a horse?" He asked Dan curiously, and Dan nodded.
"Yes, I can," Dan assured him.
"Good. So you can take any horse but the white one. That one belongs to Ian. If it goes missing while he is here, it could be a major problem," The king advised.
