Bella noticed how Claire's hand was shaking. That was the only outward sign that showed she was hiding her inner turmoil. Bella suddenly felt the need to comfort the lady, so she reached out and covered her hands with her own, "I'm sure he's going to be fine," Bella said in a quiet voice.
Claire looked into Bella's face with a smile of gratitude, "Yeah. I hope so," She said with a nod. The doctor had asked to speak with Dan privately before he had the chance to go out and get them something to drink, so both Bella and Claire were yet to discuss or say anything to each other.
Bella thought of a way to distract Claire as they waited for Dan to come out of the doctor's office, "So... how did you meet Mr. Williams?" She asked, and Claire could tell she wasn't asking out of curiosity.
