From the moment Zach stepped into the house and saw Ben heading towards him, he knew something was different. There was something completely different about the way this Ben walked and smiled.
"Hey, man!" Ben had greeted him with a cheerful grin as he extended his hand for a handshake.
Zach returned the smile and reached out to shake him since he wasn't sure yet what was different about Ben. Immediately he shook hands with Ben; something told him this wasn't the Ben he knew. The Ben he knew had softer hands, unlike this, which seemed kind of hard. Had the brothers swapped? That was the only reasonable explanation for the vibe he was having.
"We should be leaving now. Where is the boss?" Zach asked in the usual way himself, and Bella often referred to Dan.
"Oh! Dan? He'll be out in a minute," Ben assured him before going down on one knee to adjust the lace of his shoe.
