A very long time ago, venus flytraps were the pride of the land. They blossomed and outshone even the most beautiful flowers in the world. However, not all appreciated the flytraps for their beauty. Many bugs and animals despised the flowers, jealous of their beauty and wanting to destroy them. One day, many bugs attacked the flowers. Flies ate through the flowers of the flytraps, beetles chewed through their stalks, and aphids devoured their beautiful buds. When almost all of the flytraps had been eradicated, one flytrap came up with a plan to push back their oppressors. In a beautiful meadow, a Venus Flytrap had been blossoming, ready to spring its plan into action. When a fly tried to assault their flowers, the flytrap closed its buds and trapped the fly, suffocating it between its flowers. The next time a bug tried to destroy the flytrap's beauty, it repeated the process. Soon, all the flytraps in the land began to push back their opponents by trapping them in their flowers. Reveling in their new power, the flytraps began to cultivate their impressive power. The flytraps struck fear into the hearts of their opponents. But their power came with a price. As they killed, their flowers began to wilt from being squashed together. Eventually, the flytraps lost their flowers altogether, losing their beauty in blood. Today, though impressive and mighty, the impenetrable flytraps have lost their beauty and resign themselves to a homely and humble living.
