Both Lena and Maya had not forgotten what had happened back then. That foolish bet that had taken place because of their silly egos, really reflected that a human could have a child-like brain even after being the most experienced person.
"I was wrong." Lena held both of Maya's hands tenderly as if they were the precious hands of a little kid. "It was wrong of me to doubt you, my dearest student. While being the older one here, it was wrong of me not to understand your situation. My actions that day … and up until this date had been lacking. I-"
The redness in her eyes deepened as she continued, "...I was wrong." Lena ended with the same words that she had begun with.
"..." Maya said nothing as with her slightly parted lips, she stared at her teacher with awe.
