"Yes-yes, it has been so many years! When did you come back?" *cough-cough* Mr. Smith said as he tried to sit up. Seeing that he was facing some problems to do the same, Ella gave him a hand in helping him get up.
"It has been some time now. I had arrived back in the country already, but I came to the Capital just a few days before." She poured a glass of water for him.
As Ella handed the glass to him, she continued, "Although we are still only at engagement, I should have visited you earlier, uncle, I am sorry for the delay."
"No-no… Thanks." Mr. Smith accepted the glass, "Liam had already visited me. This visit from your family was not needed. And I will be returning back to my home in a few days. It's not a big deal."
"Oh, so Liam had already visited you…?" Ella asked with a disappointed smile. Whenever this step-brother of hers was brought up, it left a bitter taste in her mouth.
He took a sip and continued talking, "Yes. How was your time while you were staying in-"
