"We have to go Amara" Thuban begged her for the last time.
"It's not easy…leaving all this behind me…" she looked behind, definitely not for the last time.
"I know but-"
"Let me find some papers and I'll be back, okay?"
"I- okay…" he wouldn't object to a couple of papers, even if he had just reminded her that they should only take their absolute necessary possessions.
Amara nodded thankfully and walked as fast as she could to one of the locked rooms, the wooden floor cracked under her weight. She summoned a key from under her purple and black robe, the key bearing delicate details, seemingly about a civilization that didn't exist anymore. Amara ran her thin fingers over the golden and silver details as tears ran through her eyes, down her black cheeks.
"Mommy!!!"
"Hello my wonderful Amara!"
"Mommy what's this?"
"That's one of the keys of the seven wizards. We should keep it safe and not show it to anyone else, you understand me?"
"Yes mommy!"
"My determined little girl!"
"Amara?" Thuban was standing at the door, his eyes were full of doubt of what he was seen.
"How did you-"
"Are you crying?" there was nothing mocking about his voice.
"I have emotions too, you know"
"I know that"
"It's nothing you should worry about" she reassured him and put the key in her back pack, making sure he won't see it.
"Are you ready now?" his left leg was bouncing up and down and his fingers were tangling the air.
"You're like an excited puppy! Yes, I'm ready to go."
"Good. First stop, Giacomo!"
